Flure Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 The manager who has brought us closer to qualifying for a major tournament than we have been for yonks has "lost the plot", because he's selected a goalminder whose skills you have doubts over, to add to the squad ? Probably a case that every available Scottish keeper is away on holiday just now and Samson was the only one kicking around to meet up with the squad this week (like the Dundee boy, at best he was maybe only going to see 45 minutes of action v Qatar). As said previously, probably every other keeper available is away on holiday (Gilks is usually Strachans go to guy when it comes to 3rd choice keeper). Would have been a good opportunity to try someone like Jordan Archer, as he was alright for the U21's and looks like he will be Spurs 2nd/3rd/League Cup keeper for next season (if not sent out on loan to the Championship again). But he's not really back-up though more like a youth team or reserve player. If Marshall is injured the back-up will be Gordon or vice versa. Bain - in the squad Gilks - hardly played this season Bell - Scottish Championship goalkeeper Langfield - lost his place in the Dons team Fox - in and out the Partick team Archer - don't know much about him tbh To summarise, there ain't many options available to us!
