deecie
Aye, they've totally ####ed over the club. Off-peak short haul is where you should be looking.
joecraigfanclub
When you go on the site and try to book with BA, you should get an offer at the end of the booking to use them to reduce the cost of the flight. I've been doing that of late and it makes a bit of a difference. Was offered £75 off a flight for 11000 points last week.
dave the bankie
I think my only option is book european hotel off peak and travel by rail
dave the bankie
Joe , BA is basically the only option on flights but 13 years of savings , daft miles on Shell equates to eff all
euan2020
i have collecgted over 15 years trhough a few scams only ever used once for aberdeen london flights maybe consider to use to london as connecting flight to get a cheap flight for future Scotland games ie a Georgia type thing I'm always lazy to use my points - have 488K KLM which would get me to Australia 4 times - keep them for rainy day, or will use for 2-3 scotland campaigns - will be a good sell to girl friend that my trips are not costing much j
peever1745
I bought a sh!t load of wine and beer with my Avios miles.
Toepoke
The BA Executive restructure has been absolutely pish for anyone that doesn't live near London Used to use the Avios for trips to Europe, the hassle of going through Heathrow was offset by the saving in air fares. That's gone now (after my next 3 holidays fortunately ) Thinking of stockpiling them for a Transatlantic trip in the vain hope that we might see a reduction in APD in the next couple of years... killiefaetheferry
Try edinburgh to Madrid on the Avios site. Gives you Iberia Express flights for 7500 avios and 15 quid.
deecie
I'm really hoping the IAG buying Aer Lingus thing goes through for that exact reason. Ryanair to Dublin then tax-only flight to the states sound good to me.

killiefaetheferry
Click on the 'spend' tab on the Avios website. It will list all the things you can 'spend' your avios on. Clever, eh ? What about Eurostar ? Disneyland Paris ?
