Cologne F.C. Tartan Army West Germany may…
Rawlinho replied to TA-West Germany's topic in Scotland v Switzerland
Aye 5 of us staying in Siegburg too. Seems like a good few TA there. Found a sports bar called Butchers there that looks good for watching the other games -
Haha aye Oswalds will be given a swerve! It's so staunch they apparently serve Carling over Tennents! I'll try Granary and if we all go in together they'll hopefully be sound about it
-
I'm going to the game with my mates as usual but both of my brothers in law are coming over from Northern Ireland. We usually go to the Granary in Shawlands before games but does anyone have any ideas where Scotland and NI fans can go? I just know some bouncers etc can be edgy about mixing fans
-
Aye Hickey and Gilmour definitely in with a shout. Considering Steven Davis got to 140 caps with NI and that included just one tournament but got his first cap at 20. You also wonder how many caps either Marshall, Gordon or McGregor might have got if the other 2 didn't exist?
-
Aye sorry meant East stand, had a mare there. I've got a vague memory of some countries with very few fans being put in that corner but I think NI are bringing around 4k fans. With the other teams in the NL probably not having big numbers of away fans (apart from Poland) maybe it'll be the same for all teams? Alternatively maybe it's just for NI and the police have requested it?
-
My brother in law follows Northern Ireland home and away and just bought his ticket for the game next month. The NI fans are being charged £35 (probably not helped by Ticketmaster being their ticket agent) and more interestingly they are being housed in block G. I can't remember there being many occasions where the away fans were anywhere other than block A but maybe the SFA are noticing the week day schedules and predicting lower numbers of kids so putting the away fans in the West Stand?

Had a look at the squad from the last Euros and Robertson with 45 caps was the most capped outfield player we had. Croatia for example had 9 with 45 or more. Surely that's course for good optimism for June as Robertson, McGinn, Hanley, Christie, Armstrong, McGregor, McGinn and McTominay (potentially Tierney too if he plays the friendlies) will all have over 45. My second point on caps is it's been 38 years since Dalglish got to 102 caps. Does anyone think any of the current crop will beat that? McGinn and Robertson both turning 30 this year but in the 60s for caps. I think it's possible but would need to be playing 8 or 9 games a year and staying injury free

6 of us booked for Siegburg too. Looks like there's a few pubs there and the train to Koln and Bonn every 15 mins or so

six of us looking at the darts in Leverkusen on Friday night. Any other TA going that night?

Thanks for the replies. I've had a wee look and the Oslo flight has left from the same terminal as the Edinburgh flight has arrived. Problem is this Thursday the Edinburgh flight was 45 minutes late. Norway isn't in the EU but is part of the Nordic Passport Zone so considered the same as a Schengen country so there shouldn't be additional security and passport checks. Just need to hope the first flight is on time and all should be fine but as Macwomble says, they sold it so it must be a) doable and b) their responsibility if something goes wrong
-
There's 5 of us staying there too. Big Irish bar next door called the Shamrock. Might set up camp there on the Friday
-
Yeah that was my worry. I went via Amsterdam to Warsaw for the Poland game in 2014 and it was literally stepping off one plane and onto another but we had a bit more time. Just wasn't sure where we stood if there was a delay to the first flight. There might be a scenario of 'you knew there was a very short connection' v 'well you sold me the flight knowing that'

3 of us flying on the Thursday night from Edinburgh to Oslo Gardmoen via Amsterdam. Only thing is there's 55 minutes between flights. Both flights with KLM and we booked through them directly. Has anyone flown through Amsterdam with a tight turnaround or on the same route?
