  1. Just listening to this on 6 music.... I'd forgotten what a fckn genius he was.... Difficult, obstreperous, always on the edge of toys out the pram-ania... Nonetheless, fckn brilliant! Last time I saw them jings... about 15 years ago, jeez, as enigmatic as ever.... Band were great, MES walked off, band were still playing for another 10 minutes.... MES walked back on & said get the f... off the stage, end of gig... Haha, ach magic memories!!! I particularly liked one of the first quotes I read after hearing the news... 'Everyone in Heaven just became a member of the Fall'.... Sounds about right and he'll fall out with all of them!
  2. Reminds me, I went to a Liechtenstein v Latvia game once, way before we played in Vaduz. Spoke to a guy and his son for a wee while just before the anthems. I stood for both anthems of course, feeling a bit uncomfortable for the second one. Once it was finished the guy shook my hand and thanked me saying he realized how hard that must have been for me ! As far as GSTQ is concerned, it's up to the individual to react how they want. I will boo the words and the sentiment as always with this particular anthem, but don't really care what others do!
  3. But how do you get on the waiting list unless you phone up, which i'm sure they wouldn't want to advertise? Seems like a bit of a botch up, if you ask me.... You can't contact them unless you have the right number of points, yet if you happen to phone up at the right time, you get put on a previously un-announced waiting list? Wonderful, as ever..... Och, at least it's saved me some dosh, as I was only gonnie go if I had a ticket! Full focus on Londinium now!
  4. I'm a wee bit confused by some saying they're on a waiting list? Surely, If any more tickets become available it should be to 5 pointers, then 4 and so on. I'm on 4 at the moment and never had a chance to go on any waiting list.... Or, am I missing something
  5. Out! I get the impression the players are scared to move outwith his 'system', pretty much like in Levein's time! I'd prefer a relatively unknown coach who's not scared to play a very young team/squad drawn mainly from the Scottish leagues! I also can't stand his constant belittling of the players he's got... NI, Albania, Ireland, Poland, etc aren't better than us, yet they play as a team & qualify.. I don't buy this 'we're too shite' nonsense!
  6. Totally biased, of course, but I made it: 1- Sturgeon 2- Wood 3- Bennett 4- Cameron 5- Clegg 6- Milliband 7- The english Hitler
  7. I think Nicola's doing magic. Natalie Bennett is coming across really well IMO! Farage is just a fascist khunt and that's how he's coming across.
  8. His Dad's from Edinburgh, so that's fine by me! I think you can be born in one country but feel much more affinity to the one your parents are from. The only problem I have with this story and most of the psuedo scots that have played for us recently is this: I heard that he's never even visited Scotland.....If that's true then he or his Father can't feel very Scottish at all? Of course, it could be a pile o'pish in which case it's fine! I think when you have to start checking passports, or have a Grandad/Grandma that's Scottish but you've never visited, then how can you 'feel' Scottish?
  9. I know it's off topic, but just to say I had the same experiences campaigning in North Edinburgh. Some people would drive past screaming abuse and calling me all sorts of stuff & got extrememley redder in the face when I just held up my big YES sign & said, 'well, good luck anyway,' & smiled at them...Seemed to infuriate them more . I also spoke to many East Europeans & a group of Portuguese mothers & some of African Origin, who were all assured by naw labour lowlife that if they voted YES their passports would be withdrawn the very next day....... seems utterly laughable, but these people were genuinely frightened and struggled to believe me when I said it was total crap and that they'd ALWAYS be very welcome here!!!! Didnae see any of the Ryder Cup so cannae comment!
  10. As others have mentioned, on a day of few reasons for laughs or optimism that just made me laugh out loud The other day I heard a wee debate about the 16/17 year olds having the vote & someone suggested maybe ONLY 16/17 year olds should have the vote I think many of us might just agree with that now!!!!
  11. Ye ken, I was greeting when I read that, exactly how I feel and I was doing the same ! Like Kumnio said, everyone who voted no has just let themselves and their country be raped!!!! I'm gutted but, I'm glad to say I'm very proud of those who did vote YES and like myself done their own wee bit of campaigning for the cause! I'm also glad to say I'm angry and we all need to find ways of fuelling that anger into something positive for future change! Dinnae gie up, as an auld wummin in Wardieburn said to me yesterday, "we might lose the battle, the war's still to be won!!!!"
