wanderer Posted May 11, 2015 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Got details of cost and what to expect from the tour up to Gori and Mtskheta from Tbilisi.DATE: Thursday 3rd of SeptemberTour DetailsSet off from central Tbilisi at (roughly) 11am in 2 buses supplied by the agent to take us into Northern Georgia to visit Gori (Birth place of Joseph Stalin), Uplistsikhe caves, which will be followed by lunch in Salobie (near Mtskheta), and then onward to Jvari Monastery (UNESCO World Heritage site) and finally Svetitskhoveli cathedral in Mtskheta (UNESCO World Heritage Site) before heading back to Tbilisi. COST: £27.00 Tour package includes:- English speaking guiding service;- Bus with driver;- petrol costs;- museum entrance tickets;- lunch in restaurant 'Salobis' Tour package doesn't include:- Travel insurance;- alcoholic drinks during the lunch- tips for the driver and guide. Payment will be made directly to myself, with a deadline of THURSDAY THE 13TH OF AUGUST for payment. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or if anyone I know expects to meet me between now and then (ie at football or WESTA meeting) can pay in cash. No rush for payment just now, but would like to see payments starting to flow through by July. Please note, I have added a extra couple of pounds onto the final price to allow for any changes in the exchange rate between now and then, and for any costs involved for bank transfers to the agent in Tbilisi. All surplus cash left over will be donated to the Sunshine Appeal (regardless of how small).
