  1. At least we're not going to get carried away on a wave of completely unrealistic expectations.
  2. That'll be Rachel Reeves from what Starmer has declared to be the party of English patriotism.
  3. 'No more DRS'. Whatever the faults with the Scottish Government's version of this (much of which might be attributed to the minister in charge), I see the UK Government has now postponed their version to 2027 at the earliest. Gove proposed this back in 2018, so it just shows their complete and utter incompetence or complete disregard for the environment. Probably both
  4. Worthwhile remembering that if we had FPTP none of this would be necessary as SNP would have a massive majority. It really is rich of DRoss to be passing a VONC motion given what most people think of him.
  5. Thanks for the reply. I've seen a bit of them at u21 level (except Smith) and thought they've all looked pretty good but the key thing is getting regular games.
  6. For whatever reason not a good season for him. Also pushed down the pecking order at Liverpool with the emergence of Bradley
  7. Do you know much about those centre halves, who's more likely to make it? Morrison has played quite regularly for Wigan, so I assume he's been doing well. I noticed that Mullen hasn't played regularly for Inverness but don't know why.
  8. Thought he did really well when he came on, looked composed on the ball, good positional sense, made some important interventions, excellent tackle that wiped out Fernandes and left him greeting on the floor. If he can play like this week in, week out then he should be on Clarke's radar.
  9. And to think that VAR was meant to get rid off all the controversy. It just seems to have moved it up to another level.
  10. English Cup semi final pretty boring first half nowhere near as good as the Aberdeen game yesterday. Second half a lot more interesting!
  11. I'm more optimistic and (maybe naively) still thinking 'if' the SNP take a hammering rather than 'when'. It's a possibility but it's by no means inevitable. Starmer is not liked, Labour are basically Tory-lite and Scots know they have let Scotland down so badly, so many times in the past. The Tories have been an absolute disaster. The Lib Dems are a non-entity, once upon a time you might vote for them if you wanted to rejoin the EU but not now. The big challenge for the SNP is to inspire people and get the vote out, and there's obviously work to be done. The way I view it is that the GE is basically a massive opinion poll. Even if the SNP won every Scottish seat they still won't hold sway and none of their policies are ever going to be enacted by a Westminster Government but if Unionist parties gain seats it will undoubtedly be used against the cause of Scottish independence.
  12. Plenty of time to pick up a few more injuries before the end of the season and then in the two friendlies beforehand. I'd be surprised if we don't have at least one other drop out. Really difficult for Steve Clarke.
  13. Thought Aberdeen did really well yesterday, though that's not a lot of consolation. Thought you were really unlucky with several refereeing decisions; Celtic's first (there was an incident before where one of the Aberdeen players, possibly McGrath, was raging), possible push on MacDonald, the Miovski pen. and obviously the CCV incident.
