Grim Jim
October... "exceeding 27°C or dropping below 19°C only one day in ten" according to weatherspark.com 19 is raostin' for me right enough!
ironbrew
My experience of mid October in southern Portugal and Spain is terrible storms but without the heat we got daytime between night storms in Valencia in early September 2004. And even in full summer the sea is freezing in the Algarve (western part anyway)-swam in Carvoeiro and Lagos in August several times in recent years and it brought back memories of swimming at Dornoch or Mull. Kilt? Each to their own I suppose and hope.
TADON
I was in the Algarve in October last year for 2 weeks. the first week was great weather, anything between 25-30 degrees during the day but the nights were a lot lcooler. The second week was a wash out, rained for the whole week

Marky
Jings, it really won't be that hot. It is October and there will be healthy breezes in from the ocean. The hottest trip I remember was a Prague game in a May I think. That was brutally hot! That was a hot one, but it was topped by Macedonia in 2008. 40 odd degrees.
