For France 98 i saved for a year and told the then misses the day before i was leaving (she would have spent the money. lol) that i was going for a fortnight. Happily ended in divorce. Ferry tickets printed and packed. Passport checked and packed. Match Tickets checked and packed. All at least three times a day in case missus "puts them in a safe place".
