  3. I remember that game it was u23 and the full Scotland were team were in the WestStand watching. Our ace centre forward, Ian Fallis, was through one on one wae the young Scotland goalie......everybody held their breath thinking "Suhin bads gaunnae happen"........and right on cue he did wan o they step oan the ba by mistake moves and sprang aff it ontae his puss. We didnae laugh cos we were sooooo embarrassed. Fallis - Legend (RIP)
  4. Locke worse than Jim Clunie. FFS. That really sums "Lockey" up.
  5. Naw. It isnae. My youngest lad works in the North Sea oil industry. He lived/worked in London at his head office for a couple of years. He quite enjoyed it for eating out/kicking place for young folk etc etc. He now works 2 weeks on/3 off. He decided he wanted to try living in Berlin for most of his time off rather than London. He says there is absolutely no comparison as Berlin is far better - especially for quality/value of rented accommodation. Been across for a long weekend recently(as well as previous Tartan Army visits gaun via Berlin) and have to agree . Public transport is much cheaper/cleaner. Micro-breweries everywhere. Every nationality under the sun has cafes/restaurants/bars in the city. The place is chilled oot tae fck compared to so much of London/Londoners who still think its the centre of a fckn Empire. Berlin hammers London particularly when applied to the fitba. Went to see Union Berlin and was a great all day experience. We both loved the terracing, excellent & affordable beer and food. Headn back to visit him soon to take in two home games at Hertha & Union. Cannae wait. Visit London ? Only if paid.

  7. Saw it last night at the Limegrove flics in Holetown, Barbados. Surreal. Fantastic. The 3D effects combined wae the rum was wonderful. Lots of cheering when "familiar" faces popped up wae most applause at the Jedi mind-trick (!) Loved it. Will watch it again in the pictures when we're hame. Saw the first movie in freezin Dundee in 78. The whole cinematic difference is measured in Light Years.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/politics/constituencies/S14000051 Carmichael only won in May 2015 by 817 votes. Would they have been minded NOT to vote for him if they knew he'd organised Frenchgate ? If only 450 of them had voted SNP he'd have lost. Also, it's understood the SNP were actually ahead in Shetland but "lost" Orkney. As I've said before, the two guys who'll be most raging at Carmichael's Jack Bstd lying behaviour are Tavish SCott & Liam McArthur. Undoubtedly, they'll also be on the receiving end of an anti-Libdum backlash in May 216. Also, did MUNDELL know/approve ?
  9. OK, fair one. 57 of 59 Scots MP's voted against bombing Syria. Do you agree that, within a Scots political perspective, the bombing is undemocratic ?
  10. Dunno. The point was Dail Eirann declared UDI in 1919.
  11. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irish_Declaration_of_Independence "For if, you know, your history " :-)
  12. OK. So what is actually stopping the pro-indy parties for going from self=government ? The UN Charter, Chapter 1 Principles & Purposes ,Article 1, "The purposes of the UN are: To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of all peoples." No mention of a requirement for a Referendum. Catalonia is going for UDI in December in spite of Madrid's opposition. For the life on me I don't know why we aren't doing the same. Feart we lose ??? Hope over fear. Aain. And again. And again.
  13. Nicola says pro-Independence must show 60% consistently in the polls before we go for Indy2. We have been achieving this since the May General Election. So, why are we waiting and what are the consequences if we miss the bus? The SNP answer is the polling support would disappear in the event of an absence of the Gold-Standard-Rolls-Royce referendum that we “need” in order to assert our self-determination. Meantime Westminster vote to renew Trident whilst laughing at the impotence of our 56 SNP MP’s. Trident clearly deters Daesh. NOT. Concurrently, Westminster scheme to support NATO in their move to commit to boots-on-the-ground war in the Middle East using NATO Article 5 as a result of the Daesh attacks on France ; Article 5 determines attack one NATO country you attack them all. France has already stated the attack was “la guerre” so UK is obliged to join in. Does austerity get worse if we have to pay for “la guerre”? Mais, oui, mes petits-chouxs. So while we wait here are a few things to consider and discuss. http://scotgoespop.blogspot.co.uk/2015/11/snp-hold-30-point-lead-in-new-ipsos.html Averaging James Kelly’s “poll of polls” (based on the LATEST polls from five companies) Constituency/Regional figures show SNP on 50% + Greens on 7%. Additionally, at least 17 polls since May GE show an average SNP 52%, Greens 8%, RISE/SSP 3%, totalling 63%. For the sake of argument, pro-Indy at 57% + 63% average is 60%. Let’s reverse the logic. Focus on the $hit performance of the Enema. Labour 21%, Tory 15%, Libdem 5%, UKIP 2%, totalling 43%. Are they likely to improve in Scotland in the few months left before Holyrood 2016? Can anyone honestly see them improving beyond 45%? Labour are currently indulging in vicious foreplay before blood on the walls of the Regional List decision room. None of them want to stand as a Constituency candidate evidenced by the Glaswegian public-school Hutchie Grammar Socialist Sarwar making his play this week or Rowley’s U-turn to get on the List (Deputy Branch Leader BTW !) Labour voted against allowing family credit to be devolved. WTF is their position on Trident? Labour will be fortunate to take 20% in May 2016. They are the STRONGEST Loyalist party yet they are in complete tatters. SNP hold 95% of Westminster seats. Based on the above figures Pro-Indy parties may take 80 MSP seats of 131, or minimum 60% of seats. UDI is very unlikely to be declared in May 2016. Why the fvk not ? “Why are we waiting”? Still we’ve got The Trump to look forward to as US President with Osborne or Boris as PM……………..can anyone hear the skirl of the pipes and the rattle o’ the drum as we’re told what bonnie fichters we are for the Westminster/DC led NATO Empire………………tick, tock, tick, tock……………. UDI anyone?
