Sounds a wee bit half baked to be honest. The idea behind it is fine, but by the sounds of it they will be leaving just as many "progressives" on the outside than they will have on board.

I will be interested to see how things progress over the next few months though.

Doesn't seem much more than a ssp rebrand. How many non ssp will be involved? No solidarity, trade unionist alliance, greens.

This is Shafi and Kitty Kat Boyds baby, both not SSP, if they've any sense they'll keep Colin Fox away from the media.

Not very I don't think. Nationalism rules the waves at the moment. United Left is also a shite name... Given how split the left is on independence

I think it would be better if the likes of Cat and Katy Clark for example joined the SNP and pushed their ideas forward from within the only vehicle that can get us Independence

Becoming more and more like something from Life of Brian.

It's not really is it?

There absolutely does need to be a challenge to the left of the SNP and a coalition is the logical way to do so. The SNP are not welcoming to socialists and any attempt to establish a left group within the party is quickly closed down by leadership.

No I never. I doubt very much she is. I'd imagine she's an apologist along the same lines as you.

"Derp! The SNP can't be judged until Scotland is independent."
