Greenman
Cheers Greenman, Irish should have been given more tickets than 3,200, would have meant less Irish guys having to buy home end ticket as back up. How does FAI carry out sale of away match tickets? With us it's a point system based on last 10 away games, so you have a pretty good idea whether you will get ticket or not when allocation announced. we applied for all 3 aways this autumn about 4/5 months ago. Paid a deposit on all tickets applied for. (25 for scot game)They have a record of our aways for past few years but nobody has much faith in them as anything could happen. They say season ticket holders with away records get sorted first. Then season ticket holders. Then away travellers with no season ticket. Biggest problem with the fai is that we don't hear until the last minute what the story is and you are left sitting hoping tickets arrive before you leave. Jokeshop. How does point system work? Do yous reckon there is much chance of Irish being refused on the styles in away colours on the night? I reckon we will have most of 116 and 117 judging by amounts who have bought tickets on sfa today

Davied14
How does point system work? The SFA look back at the last 10 away games: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_football.cfm?page=3141 And if for example we had 2000 tickets then everyone with 6-10 points would have first dibs at buying them, then after a week or so the sale would be open to people with 5-10 points, then after a few days it would be open to people with 4-10 etc. until all the tickets are sold.
