kmcca5
Just spotted that ROI are Playing Englad the Sunday before they play us. Do we have any plans for a friendly/Warm up game before we play ROI?
Coggs
Not yet, but sure Regan said there would be a friendly in March and another in June. One at home, the other away. Hoping the June one is away (purely for selfish financial reasons).
McToot
I heard the other night march would be at home.
Dunoon_Ton
Would think it would make sense to have the June one at home and therefore minimising travel with the ROI away game coming. An away one in March would be better as we will gub Gibraltar at home no matter what
kmcca5
Could do with Greece, Spain or Holland as all beatable at the moment and would improve our standings! Edited October 15, 2014 by kmcca5
deecie
I heard the other night march would be at home. I was also informed this last night. Meant to be against a 'big' team... ?? Want to play in June, made some enquiries, not got any definite plans though.
ErsatzThistle
Got my fingers crossed for Turkey ! Sadly it will probably be Malta or Luxembourg at Easter Road. I think we could learn a lot by playing the likes of Albania, Montenegro, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania or Greece.
braveheart_lynch
Meant to be against a 'big' team... FR Didn't hear any rumours in Warsaw but this was my guess also. Edited October 15, 2014 by braveheart_lynch
Marty
Surely best to avoid a serious friendly before a crucial qualifier, especially at the end of a season when players are less fit. Could be an advantage to play a real diddy team or even no game at all . The Irish will be unlikely to hold back against England. JECK
think there will be a 2, maybe 3 week gap for some players so can see the sense in a game before playing ireland although dont think Strach bothered before croatia june 2013. the june ireland game will be massive again so preparation will be paramount. bossman4
In some cases any Championship players will be finished on the 2nd May, apart from any involved in play offs. Champions league final is the 6th, night before ROI v England. EPL finishes on the 23rd May. Would think we'll need one game to keep us ticking over. Still talk over here in NI that we are playing NI at Windsor park to re open it but not sure it'll be finished for then.
King Of Paisley
Bossman - what's the script about Windsor? Never knew it was getting a facelift. Bigger capacity?
bossman4
Going on at the moment, still knocking down the old main stand. New pitch with undersoil heating now in. Will hold about 20k once done. As I say I dont think it'll be ready for June, talk is 80% done as once the new main stand and railway ends are up they then need to tidy the remaining bit that are there now. nek
France aye? Would doubt it Masel given they have there friendlies sorted for them now being a "fake" group member in qualifying, they have 3 dates in 3 year to choose who they play , doubt we would be choice 1 or 2! Be a good one if true tho Edited October 19, 2014 by nek
Toepoke
Surely best to avoid a serious friendly before a crucial qualifier, especially at the end of a season when players are less fit. Agreed, the players are knackered enough at that stage of the season without playing even more games...

Do we have any plans for a friendly/Warm up game before we play ROI? I'm hoping for a home game against San Marino / Luxembourg with competitively priced tickets of around £80 with £79 for concessions. #wearescotland. It better be somewhere convenient like Dingwall at that price.
