Gatwick - Istanbul - Pegasus Airlines on Tues 1st. - £42 Istanbul - Tbilisi - Turkish Airlines - £62 - Wed 2nd - £62 (gives me a day in Istanbul ) Tbilisi - Gatwick via Riga - Air Baltic - Sat 5th - £124 . The usual mature and sensible travelers including my dad(!), Bill, Big Milby etc - we aren't due in till about 22.00 on the Tuesday but mibbe meet late morning/early afternoon on the Wednesday for a beer, then the ferry across the Bosphorus, then the coach, to the airport? When I booked I'm sure it stated that the shuttle was free - it was a good reason, amongst many, for choosing it. However it now says 'airport shuttle (surcharge)'. There's a few of us staying there so before I email the hotel it's worth asking if anyone's been in touch to ask them about the shuttle. SY Cove Posted June 6, 2015 Share Posted June 6, 2015 Would love to go but don’t think I will make it unfortunately I mentioned in another thread I just started working in Kazakhstan, just by luck my time off is tying in with the Georgia game I’m in a place in Kazakhstan called Atyrau, although its relatively close to Tbilisi it’s a bit awkward to get to from Europe, going via Istanbul or Amsterdam is your best bet, I need to be back to work by the Wednesday after the Georgia game, theres a direct flight from Istanbul to Atyrau on the Tuesday which I am planning to get, on the Sunday or Monday I could go Tbilisi – Amsterdam, Amsterdam – Glasgow then to get to work for the Wednesday Glasgow – Amsterdam, Amsterdam – Atyrau Just had a look at flights for that route, roughly £2600 It’ll be a bar in Tbilisi for me for the Germany game!
