Nfl Gamepass

Has anyone got NFL Gamepass? If so, what's it like, good and bad points.

I've read about the blackouts, which sounds terrible come the playoffs.

However the 30 minute "condensed" game sounds great.

Is there an app on the Xbox 360? Or is there a better way to get HD streams?

I'm getting pissed of with Sky, what with all the English Rugby being on BT, and Scottish football on BT and Champions League also now on BT I think I want to ditch Sky, but the NFL is my only tie.

Just read the reviews on that site and it looks excellent. I currently have Kodi on my Macbook which I hook up to the TV or do through Apple TV. I mainly just use it for watching the odd movie or box set but looking at that it might be the way forward as I've been looking to get my Virgin Media bill down a bit. One question, I take it you can't pause/rewind live TV the way you can with Sky Plus etc? Also, how easy is it for flicking through channels or seeing what's on?

Nah, no pause or record functions.

Emmm, depends what you're flicking through. It's all app based. The best sports app at present is called "Sports Donkey", which has streams of all sports channels (excellent pic quality). Obviously you need to wait 10 seconds or so for the streams to load when flicking through... So if you're not sure what's on your better checking a tv guide online first.

It can take 5-10 minutes to find what you're looking for but if, for example, you're going to be watching the NFL for 3 hours, i wouldn't say 10 minutes to find a good stream is a hardship...

If you're thinking of cancelling Sky, it'd be worth the £100 to buy one of these guys first IMO. Then you can see what it's like etc before you cancel. If you're not totally happy that it'd replace Sky for you, then you can always put it in another room and use it as a back-up for when the Mrs wants to watch some shite and you want to watch the fitbaw ;)

Do you have one? I have had a couple of similar "boxes" in the past and they have been decent, as Fairbairn says too, for TV and movies but the real big fall down for me has been when it comes to live sport. The quality of the streams was, at the very best, average. And thats me being generous. I had a 42" and the quality was poor on that, have a bigger screen in living room now and dread to think what the quality would look like on that. If I could guarantee HD quality live sports I would be very tempted.

I have one, yeah. It works really well.

The sports streams may not always be HD but they're easily watchable on my 42" tv. Can get all UK sports channels in good quality easily.

If you want to "guarantee" HD live sports, then you'll have to pay the £1000+ year to Sky...

What me and my dad do is just stream every dolphins game on vibox and we rarely have any trouble and it hardly ever buffers, also have redzone on on sky sports which i think is brilliant, following whatever team is nearest the endzone if yous never watched it

It's £30 a month for Sky Sports on Virgin Cable and you get Redzone on the Interactive red button ?

I got rid of Sky Sports after the Ireland game and will do without it till the NFL starts back in October

Just went on my Xbox last night and there's a new NFL app that I downloaded and it turn in the app there is a login for Gamepass.

Recon I'm going to ditch Sky & go with BT & Gamepass. I'm on a half price deal until September anyway so I'll wait until then.
