So the NFL kicks off next week!

Thoughts for the season, beyond knowing that the Jets and Dolphins are going to suck :whistling:

As a Bears fan, it's looking good for the new season. The defence has been revamped, Cutler has the pocket protection he needs and there are a couple of new options for him on offence. Pre season went well first two games with the majority of first teamers getting a decent amount of time on the field. Last two games have been more second string but still a few positives from the Browns game last night.

I'm predicting a playoff berth as a minimum for the Bears this season.

Cant wait, being a Packers fan we kick of our new season at Seattle on Thursday night, going be a real test for us.

Whats predictions for 8 league winners?

AFC West - Denver Broncos

AFC South - Indianapolis Colts

AFC East - New England Patriots (But got sneaky feeling Jets could do it this year)

AFC North - Cincinatti Bengals

NFC West - Seattle Seahawks

NFC South - New Orlean Saints

NFC East - Philadelphia Eagles

NFC North - Green Bay Packers

I suppose the Jets have to win it sometime, its been 12 years. But I reckon that they will need 11 wins to topple the Patriots this season, and I'm not sure that their offense can provide that. They look like an 8-8 team to me.

I think the Steelers will win the AFC North.

If they can get there QB position sorted they could do well, the signing of Eric Decker is a class one, and with defense probably even better and RB's pretty good, think they have a good season

Glad to see the optimism for the Jets - unfortunately i dont see it

If New England can keep Gronkowski fit for most of the 16 weeks then they should go far

I'll start believing in Geno when he delivers regularly ...and the jury is still out

There have been a lot of changes - i think the Packers could be a good bet in Seattle. They had loads of injuries last year

Hopefully not a sign of how my NFL gambling will go this season

Thankfully there is a spread .....

Famous last words but The Packers at home to the Jets giving Geno 7.5 pts of a start at 10/11 looks a standout bet

Obviously i hope i'm wrong but you should never bet with the heart

Haha. Ally Bear trying the famous reverse jinx!

lol - seriously i have them on a line with Man Utd minus 2 goals

I have a line on for the earlier games - all are stoating including the Pats and the only one beating me is the Giants !

I only took them because i keep getting the Chiefs and the Cardinals mixed up. The Chiefs are rotten so i took the Giants then i realises it's the Cardinals they are playing ...if that makes sense. Total schoolboy error

Terrible result for Seahawks last night, cannot believe they lost at home to the cowgirls, Romo must be due a meltdown sooner or later, hasnt had one all season, cant see cowgirls form continuing for to much longer

Ive been saying that for the last 30 years Geed ;)

We have too many average players in crucial positions and not having a recognised number 1 Corner Back never mind 2 is killing us. Any QB worth his salt will beat us deep every week.

When you are missing quality mistakes happen and last night was evidence of that. Its happened every week since the start of the season and Geno's lack of consistancy is always going to haunt us

He is inconsistent as he is still a million miles away from being a top QB

One thing i will say is that i doubt any other coach will hurt and care as much as Rex does so i hope we dont get rid of him.

If we can get a few top players after this season through the draft & free agency we could be a really good team under him.

As you seen last night we are close but still a bit away from that

A gutting loss - a typical Jets loss

I already gave up on this season last week so the performance last night was a bit of a surprise

Think Jets have a good defense, few injuries now in it but that will improve once all back, love Chris ivory have him in my nfl fantasy team as well as Decker, if they could only get a top QB think see a different Jets team, Geno is a hit or a miss. Ps you were very unlucky not beat my Packers few weeks ago :>)

Bugger, have it recorded was going to watch it tonight. Should have stayed off this thread.

Have taken to the NFL like a crack addict this season.

I understand the rules now and really enjoy the strategy.

I tape the Monday (Eurosport) and Thursday (Sky) night games. Then watch one of the Sunday games (generally the late one, once the kids are in bed).

Cowboys are playing outstandingly well right now. 6-1 for the first time in years. And with 3 of the next 4 games looking like very favourable match-ups ('Skins, Jags & Giants), the Cowboys should be in a great position before December even starts.

After that, it's 2 games in 3 weeks vs Philly. If either teams manages to win both they're likely to take the division. We''ll be in December by the time the 2nd Philly game comes around, and we all know what happens to Romo in December..... Maybe it'll be different this time
