  1. In 2002 that was probably a good deal. Anyhow I wouldn't trust what Scotland on Sunday said, it's not like they haven't got a pretty clear agenda
  2. With the reduction of Westminster seats for Scotland that's even more the case. I used to be a Labour Party member but they haven't been good for Scotland and Starmer's Government won't be either. A vote for Labour will be interpreted as a vote to stay in a Union which isn't working.
  3. Don't think too many people are going to disagree with your verdict on Mr Neill.
  4. Yes, that's what I meant. It's a genuine question from me. It's about the double standards and the pressure giving Sarwar a free pass compared to Forbes and Yousaf.
  5. Related to this, not only Yousuf but does Sarwar ever get the same interrogation? Traditional, mainstream, majority Muslim views see same-sex relationships as being sinful. Has he ever been asked how he reconciles Labour Party policy with Islam? He aspires to be FM, what are his views, surely a good journalist would want to find out?
  6. Same with the Daily Express, demanding an election because there was going to be a new unelected FM yet not a word when Truss or Sunak succeeded as PM. None of it surprising, just rank hypocrisy.
  7. I'm largely in agreement with this. None of the fundamental reasons for indy have changed. Swinney will get it in the neck from the Unionist press and media because that's what they do but we press on. Meanwhile all those gloating Conservatives will be very quiet today as voters in England give their verdict on how the Tories are doing.
  8. It is now mainstream but it wasn't when the debate was originally held. I imagine Forbes felt there was equality via civil partnerships but without undermining the traditional view of marriage.
  9. They'll not be asking Andrew Neill to explain why so many people no longer vote for them. I'm not expecting a lot of Twitter activity from Ross, Fraser, Kerr etc tomorrow
  10. Depends what is meant be equality. Civil partnerships had already been introduced and many people thiught they gave the legal equality and recognition that same sex couples wanted. Many conservative Christians supported their introduction, seeing them as fair and just, whilst nonetheless retaining the belief that marriage by definition was between a man and a woman - which is probably exactly the definition found in every dictionary until about 15 years ago.
  11. Didn't the Lib Dems, along with Labour, support many of those wierdo (sic) green policies?
  12. That's the Scottish edition. I'm wondering whether they'll ask Neill for his views on the tomorrow's council elections in England. Everyone thinks his beloved Tories will get hammered, I'd like to see what he says about the verdict of English voters.
  13. I'm not sure if they're standing in tomorrow's local elections down south but they could potentially take votes from Labour. Monty Panasaar, the England cricketer is also standing for that party.
