ScottyAlba
Has anyone else recieved a call from Abbey Travel, asking who they support? Had a call today asking if I was an Ireland or Scotland supporter as apparently the FAI have requested the number of supporters of both nations who have purchased tickets through them
Squirrelhumper
Just say you are neutral.
ScottyAlba
Asked if it was a problem being a Scotland supporter, and the guy said It's fine they will just look to group all Scotland fans together
@neaver82
I would imagine the Abbey tickets will have been predominantly purchased by Scotland fans.
ScottyAlba
He didn't say the ratio but I'd imagine that there wouldn't be a massive uptake from Irish fans
Doakes
Called them to make sure and they said it was "no prroblam at aal" - seems they just want to avoid any Ireland fans being left alone in a sea of Scots. Seem a decent wee company tbf, very polite.
washboarder
gonna use them for the euro finals next year, very professional
Jersey Jim
Bought one last week, but used my works email as contact, been off work since so haven't had access to read my conformation email yet. Do they post the tickets out, or do we need to pick up over there?
washboarder
I told them I was gonna pick mine up, although they said tickets can be delivered aprox 7-10 days before game. I have been waiting for a letter posted from Dublin last Monday still has not arrived, me thinks pick up guaranteed option

Doakes
Yes I'm picking up too. Their office is pretty central anyway
Jersey Jim
Cheers for the reply's. I'll probably pick up as well then, I was a bit dubious of doing that as I'm an away fan, but it would appear that doesn't matter.
Donegal-lad
gonna use them for the euro finals next year, very professional Hope you have deep pockets washboarder judging by the prices usually quoted by abbey for our away games. Charging €599 for 4 day trip to the algarve for Gibraltar game. We are doing a week for roughly less than that price

I was 1 of the lucky ones who was in poland supporting Ireland and spent 16 days over there with whole trip costing between 1500-2000 euro (we rented apartment and car so could of been done cheaper) DIY packages best for tournaments like this and tickets are able to be got via the resale portal as long as you willing to put the time in online
cwilliamson85
Not yet had a call but based on the figures being on here I think 70/80% of this section will be scots.

slasher
Am not paying them either. I'm banking on picking one up somewhere as I'm low on points after a self imposed SSC boycott for 2 years. Only game I didn't get a brief was Spain in Alicante

DoubleSC
Not expecting a call as I bought mine back in February from Abbey. Told them at the time I wanted to be with the Scottish fans. They told me they would be in touch closer to the time ref sending / collecting tickets. I will collect unless an E ticket is an option. Robroysboy
Been a good pay-day for abbey and the irish fa will obviously get their cut. If the SFA were selling inflated tickets through a commercial company we would be going off our nut. Abbey travel are the " official travel partner" of the fai so get access to tickets for every game both hone and away. They always have a good pay day from Ireland game just look at what they charging for trips to our away games.Caused uproar in November as well as they were selling trips to the game in Glasgow few weeks before the game with guaranteed match tickets where as the regular irish fans had to apply in July and majority missed out (sone of who even travelled to georgia)
