Armchair Bob
He's surprisingly personable out the studio and in the flesh... Mind you, so is Iain Gray. Edited September 25, 2014 by Armchair Bob
BigBearScot
Hope so It would be an SNP victory guaranteed. How Sarwar managed to pass all the exams to qualify as a dentist is beyond me. Dull as dishwater and thick as mince. Sarwar Snr's money probably went along way to help.
The Giant
I had to laugh at the headline of this story calling Murphy a star lol http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2764690/Is-Jim-Murphy-set-tackle-Nicola-Sturgeon-Labour-lines-No-campaign-star-challenge-SNP-Holyrood-elections.html I hate Scottish Labour, but I have to say the unattributed quote ‘I have never been so grateful for the Tories. They got their supporters out in middle-class areas and saved the Union, while our people were switching to Yes.' seems fishy. I think the Daily Mail has been making up quotes again. As usual. I don't have the power to do it, Neil Findlay doesn't and neither do the Scottish Government.

Parklife
Exactly. Easy to promise to deliver something when you aren't in a position to actually do it Neil Findlay actively campaigned not to have the power to do these things just a few months, yet now he's promising he'll get the powers and do them. And SLab politicians expect voters to buy this shit?

Armchair Bob
Haud on... Here he tells us he opposes Trident... http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/parliamentarybusiness/28862.aspx?r=9439&i=84853&c=1699784#.VGoTQRZtWAE Then in the *same* debate, doesn't vote against Trident... http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/parliamentarybusiness/28862.aspx?r=9439&i=84855&c=1699853 Fair enough, it was an SNP motion - and being in Labour, if there is one thing worse than Trident, foodbanks, illegal wars, Tories, UKIP, stealing from pensions, and the financial crisis, it's the SNP. Hertsscot
I don't know Neil Findlay but from what I know I wouldn't vote for him. Seems to be a complete lack of integrity. Also think MSM doesn't come out of this well, he was completley unchallenged by Marr and I guess the papers won't pick up on his bare faced lies. If there's one thing that unionist politicians like Findlay have learnt from the Referendum campaign is they can say pretty much what they like and get away with it. Lamia
It was a mistake for the SNP to link the motion to independence. We could really have seen the colour of their money otherwise

Findlay isn't a Unionist, I saw him speak last year and he gave valid reasons for opposing independence, he also set out valid conditions that would allow him to vote Yes. Guest flumax
Not so much http://wingsoverscotland.com/the-art-of-loquacious-silence/ That truly is top politicking. He is very good, you gotta give him that. His press people must be top rate to. He is straight out of the new labour guide to electioneering. That'll teach me for reading the headlines, without following up the source
Orraloon
Just watched the 3 Labour candidates and IMO the only way Labour will get back credibility in Scotland is to elect Neil Findlay.

I thought that about 3-4 weeks ago but after seeing him on TV a few times i realise i was wrong However he is the best option out of the 3 for them

Neil is very active among the trade unions, as opposition leader he'll introduce the kind of motions that would make the SNP very unpopular if they chose to oppose... Although even opposing the living wage for public contractors seems to have had no effect there.
