ParisInAKilt
Best Spanish and Barcelona midfielder ever and the best midfielder of his generation. Discuss.
Fairbairn
Way too good and way too young to be seeing out his days in Qatar. Disappointing end to a glittering career.
Stuart87
I prefer Iniesta.

Kirk
I'm more an iniesta man but there is no doubt Xavi is one of the best ever. Gutted to see him leaving Barca for a unheard of league basically. Even if he had gone to the USA it would be understood.
ParisInAKilt
Iniesta is a fantastic player but Xavi dictated the play of arguably the best two sides ever, Spain 2008 - 2012 and Barcelona 2009 - 2011. Without him both teams couldn't have played the way they did.
redstevie007
Iniesta and Xavi are probably the best midfielders of their generation, and also in the all-time list. Glad I've seen them in flesh at their peak. Xavi having his last big pay day can't be grudged but going to that human rights devoid shite hole to get it is dissapointing. GRBear
Do they not get paid mental money in Qatar? Probably why he is going there.

Another one who is glad to have seen them play, both for Barca m the Camp Nou and for Spain against us.

jock strap
A phenomenal player and in his prime, one of the worlds best. I think it is a bizarre choice to end his career but like others have said, mental money seats people choices. Good luck to him, always seemed like a genuine fella who just loved playing football.
