Donald Trump & Scottish Golf

What's the thoughts on this loud-mouthed fool? Will his money and "influence" win the day, and earn him a place on the Scottish open course list in 2017?

Will be pull the plug on all of his golf interests in Scotland if he is denied?

Politics are entwined in this story as well, obviously. Which will make it far more juicy for the media

He's already getting the open at his other course, so he won't throw the toys out of the pram. The Scottish open will end up at his course sometime soon

2017,2019 and 2020,but I would imagine there will be controversies before that.

The Scottish government are in a bit of a tricky situation with them being so heavily involved in the Scottish open (to the tune of £1m annual "sponsorship", i believe) and now many are trying to distance themselves from Trump following his comments about being assured the event in 2017 and then his bizarre outburst about Mexicans a few days ago.

Seems like, if Trump was given some kind of unofficial indication that the 2017 championship would go to Balmedie, then all the guff he has come out with since has made it a bit of a political "hot potato".

Nobody listens to a word he says. The boy is a dick.

Nice course at Balmedie though.

A Reuters poll has him almost neck and neck with Jeb Bush !

:-)) Oooft! Possibly not the kind of bloke to piss off, especially when he is on the loose!

A tunnel could appear in Trumps shower room any time now...... :yikes3:

What has the Scottish Open got to do with the Scottish Government? Do they subsidise it or something?
