Would be great if it was only Scotland fans allowed in

TBH They have set a presidance with the NI fans in Belgrade.

So those who have booked should be ok.

That would be mental if we were the only ones allowed in.

What was the crowd trouble like on Sunday?

Apparently 5-6 people ran on to the pitch throughout the game (one fan tried to kiss the feet of the Georgia captain).

Did UEFA not force Zenit St Petersburg to play behind closed doors, and Bayern fans had to watch the game from a penthouse in a hotel behind the stadium?

There was no crowd trouble. The invasions were all isolated, solo efforts.

The first (of 5-6) was one guy running on to kiss the feet of Georgia's captain Kankava. This was a joke, in response to footage from the previous day where a member of the Georgian media had walked on to the pitch during German training to kiss the feet of Schweinsteiger.

There was a fair bit of euphoria about the German team being here, much of it cringeworthy.

So, this should not be classed as crowd trouble but certainly a security breach. They may close part of the stadium, but I would be surprised if Sichinava's fears are made real and it's a behind closed doors affair. I reckon he's just trying to dramatise the situation so the invaders are vilified rather than celebrated. The first pitch invader got a standing ovation as he was escorted out.

Cheers Bone.

TBH I'm not bothered about good natured numpties.

Happened last time I was at Murrayfield. (Streaker on the pitch).

Just have plenty stewards and they will be fine.

Hope they don't ask for booking confirmations as nothing I've booked suggests I'm even going to Georgia.

On a positive note. We will save money by not having to buy a match ticket :ok:

Its not going to happen, we booked up in good faith.

If the georgian FA can't control their home support thats their problem. Why should the TA be punished? We have one of the best, if not the best reputation for beng well behaved in europe. Plus as Bristol Hibby as already stated they allowed northen ireland fans to attend the game in belgrade when a closed game was planned. So a president has been set.

Not that the home support being banned helped the northen irish score line, as serbia won the match.

Northern Ireland fans were given a police escort to and from last night's European Championship qualifier in Belgrade.

Security was tight before and after the match with Serbia amid fears that there could be trouble from home fans angry at not being allowed to see the game.

Sadly, the 265 away supporters went home disappointed. Despite a strong first half performance, Serbia won 2-1.
