If you think that I think that making a mild jest about cheese and puffins in some way makes the content of TT's post insignificant then you really are losing your grip on reality. It was a strong and unarguable post. Of course Scotland will be a successful independent country. I've never doubted it and I've never claimed otherwise.

Here's the nutshell...

Even though Jude was very open with her posts to the point of it being a transparent transitional journey, you saw her as an easy target for you to follow around the board to browbeat and to ridicule to gain the sad praise of the penny stinkers.

Your efforts went a long way in drumming her up as unpopular which eventually led to her being the best scapegoat for the supposed contaminated link.

The moderation team suspended, then banned Jude while offering no proof of any rule breaking.

Conveniently the moderation team has a (failsafe) policy of not discussing bans (which is fine) but I feel it extremely harsh to hang Jude with the blame of almost single-handedly bringing the board down if it wasn't true.

If the moderation team had to prove that the 'meltdown' came from a contaminated link posted by Jude, could they? And if not, then why was she banned?

(Neither of us are looking for re-instatement btw.)

Jude would't back down on the Jimmy Saville thing. And she was proven right. (Perhaps that, in the big picture, was her 'crime'.)

The subject was only used to illustrate the parallel analogy.

Wrestling obviously isn't in reality how it is trying to be portrayed.

But neither (to me) is evolution, religion, big government, the JFK assassination, the Gulf of Tonkin, 9/11, 7/7, etc.

All of these subjects (and life in general) are complicated and layered. (Even wrestling too can be dark and tragic).

Quite amazing.

So, from what I can gather you've dropped the bit about me being a mod/admin and it's now that I browbeat Jude on the internet. I guess it's all a matter of perception. The threads are still there. They're not examples of the board at its finest, and I'm not happy with the way I got involved, but to be honest I think I was one of the few who attempted to stick to the evidence, by and large, despite being accused, along with others on here, of being a member of a secret society covering up appalling crimes.

Those are some that spring to mind as being particularly unpleasant. No doubt there are posts from me on there that lacked my characteristic gallantry and joi de vivre but I would imagine that the context generally explains it.

And now this. You've been trawling the web to find photos of me. Just so you know, some years ago my workplace redesigned their website and as part of the redesign the page which contained my photo and those of colleagues at a similar pay-scale was removed. I did once ask a mate to take my photo down from an African ornithology site that he ran because an ex-girlfriend had traced me through it - it was no big deal, but I'd've preferred to let by-gones etc on that one....
