redstevie007
Was talking to a Geordie mate of mine after their defeat to Sunderland a few weeks back, and saying that that result dragged them into the relegation fight and I'd be surprised if they picked up another point all season. He laughed at me
AberdeenAngus
Great club who have made a lot of bad mistakes. Huge changes needed there.

Jagtag
Great club who have made a lot of bad mistakes. Huge changes needed there. That's their problem. Too many calling for big changes year after year and no stability.

AberdeenAngus
That's their problem. Too many calling for big changes year after year and no stability. But they don't get the changes. I'm not talking about a change of manager - Mourinho and Guardiola would struggle in that set up. They need new owners who see success on the pitch as a priority. New owners with a new mindset would change the direction and feeling around the club. Most of us have through spells of being hacked off at how our club is being run but that club seems to take the biscuit for it. A huge cracking stadium with a fanatical support should be the springboard to be a top 6/7 minium club every single season.
Chief
But haven't we heard in other threads that Mike Ashley is some kind of messiah?
macy37
Ashley runs his club extremely well. All this pish that he does not spend is just that...pish.
fishcumnock
He's not the messiah , he's just a greedy money grabbing !
Tartan Mackem II
I wish our owner spent what Ashley has, I will miss humping them twice a season but it comes a time when you fall out of love with football. No doubt we will see them the season after next to make it 6 in a row.

Al1978
You can see Ashley giving John Carver a five year contract in the summer.
