Caledonian Craig
We've had far, far worse than Griffiths winning caps up front for Scotland in the last 15 years. That isn't saying a lot though is it? I mean FFS we have just bagged our first hat-trick in almost half a century - that says it all. But from four caps so far from Griffiths I wouldn't put him above some of our dross just yet - remember we are talking about international form here. Caledonian Craig
ill start with lower...... burchill mcswegan dobbie kyle thompson crawford dickov CMS freedman iwelumo mackie And from that dross list there are a number in there who have bagged goals for Scotland such as Crawford (scored a few actually), CMS, Freedman and Mackie unlike Griffiths thus far. Yes I know that and have said he is due a chance soon. But that doesn't mean to say I rate him.

Caledonian Craig
CMS against lichtenstein and freedman in a meaningless game against latvia. CC has big issues with griffiths "laces out" No issues I just don't rate him and the more people try and bum him up the more I am inclined to not rate him. And need I point out Griffiths played V Luxembourg but never scored so think twice before berating others for only scoring against perceived lesser nations after all plenty cream themselves about Rhodes goal record for us and they have been against largely minnows. girvanTA
Until recently Thompson had a better record than S Fletcher.
McToot
Fletcher may have the better link up play but he has missed some howlers this campaign. If we hadn't beaten Ireland his bizarre back heel attempt would be unforgivable. He should also have scored at least two more v Gibraltar. With that being the case wouldn't mind griffiths getting a run out. I think we should use the Qatar game to have a look at striking options

Mackie scored the second v Cyprus, cut in from the left, turned the 2 defenders inside out and curled it round the keeper and in at the far post. It was a fantastic goal. Caledonian Craig
griffiths got about 20 mins (i think) against luxembourg ! Look I really hope he makes it for us as I don't wish failure on any of our players but I just don't see anything special or different in him that is going to transform him into a multiple goalscorer for us. I'd be delighted if I am proven wrong and I have said he is due a chance so I am not really sure what else you want me to say aside from feeding you with what I'd see as BS. ProudScot
Griffiths is a good squad option for sure. He has something none of our other strikers have. But if we are 1 uptop, he is well down pecking order. Fletcher, Naismith, Rhodes, Watt, McCormack, Griffiths......... Chris Martin < hmmm still unsure... andyD
People are still peddling Watt? He's done nothing for the last month.. 7 games, no goals. Until he show some kind of consistent form and the ability to score goals on a frequent basis, he's not going to be anywhere near the squad and quite right too. 4 goals in 19 games does not warrant a cap. er yir macaroon
Griffiths could do it at international level. His pace and finishing make him a good option. He's still learning but he should be in the squad. What pace? He runs around a lot but he's not quick.

kmcca5
From what I saw in the first half Dorrans looked good, probably his level. Hope he stays at Norwich if they get promoted or not.
