Orraloon
It would be interesting to see what would happen if the SNP manifesto for the UK election consisted of one policy only. That one policy would be basically that we want full fiscal autonomy. They could turn it into another referendum asking the people of Scotland if they are happy with the Smith commissions "new powers" or do they want more? I thought that's what next year's election was going to become. And hearing the comments from non politicians since yesterday I'm even more certain... saintlyscot
The whole point of playing house at Holyrood for 4 years was to show people that Scots could do a good job managing Scotland. They did it so well the irony is despite the No the SNP could increase its majority and have a breakthrough at westminster. But what is the point of being in government now? We are going nowhere for a while and the game will be rigged to force the SNP into making choices that will steadily erode their support. Let labour and the tories and the liberals form a minority government, we saw how they are all one voice anyway during the referendum. Why should we constantly accept the rules set-up by these arseholes. refuse to work in the box they want to put us in, put them in it. We can't go back to the way it was in the years running up the vote. Make no mistake we are now taken as a serious threat going forward. I do not see a strategy at this point... Surprised this is being given serious credence. Only by the snp being seen as and delivering good governance did we reach this point. Do not turn the clock back over grievance. Look at the shambles of Scottish labour since they have been excited to opposition. The gradualist approach Of a strong snp deliver the twin peaks of persuading more no's to join us while exposing the lies and of the establishment and westminster elite. Much easier to achieve this from a position of strength.

Like the polls before the referendum showing a big Yes lead, which you also said were being held back?

ErsatzThistle
MacMillan is an arse. An absolute waanker with a hugely high opinion of himself. Only first heard of him in 2007 before the election when he was in the papers basically saying Scotland is a horrible bigoted nation that he feels oppressed in and that Scottish nationalists are responsible for it all. He also wrote an absolutely bizarre article a few years ago attacking Robert Burns that has to be seen to be believed.
