killiefaetheferry
To celebrate Thanksgiving, and to whet the appetite for the 3 live NFL games starting soon, I have started with a Whitstable Bay lager (steam method) - subtle floral flavours, very light. Now onto a Belhaven Twisted Thistle IPA - a bit bitter for my taste, but perfectly palatable. Dilemma now about whether to hit the Furstenburg next, or open the Selice Salentino Riserva I got to partner the Risotto al Ragu con Pomodoro that is planned for dinner. Ormond
Are you American? I'm bloody no', but the wife is making me mix with a bunch of pretentious Yank whanks who think having couple of drinks makes you a jakey.
Armchair Bob
Good on you. I have just sunk six pints of West lager and when I get home, unless there is a leak in the roof or some other crisis, there's a couple bottles of Fraoch and one of old jock in the fridge. If they are gieing you gyp about drink, you can easily regain the moral high ground by straying into the topic of race relations.

Enjoying the lions turn around with a Williams Bro joker IPA. Had the stream lager Sunday, local tesco getting shot at 89p.one of the worst beers I've ever had. Tasted like a flat generic lager. Felt like it was trying to be a gateway beer for Calsberg/Tennants drinkers. Later it'll be dark island, then maybe an Ardmore or two. It is a school night after all. jock strap
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it Also to the wee drunken Scotsman in Chicago who is no doubt at this point, boring the life out of some confused local about Alex Totten and the joys of a wee village named Perth

Ormond
I had a wee laddie about 10 year old at the family Thanksgiving Dinner yesterday who was wearing an old England top from the 70s! God knows what that was all about!
