Raonic defeated in Moscow, so It's in Andy's hands now to overtake both him and Ferrer this week and move into the final qualifying spot.

Easier said than done considering where Andy's consistency and confidence is at and will need to beat Ferrer in the final (something he couldn't do last tournie) so it will be far from easy. If he reaches the final he will climb up to 9th but Nadal is being heavily tipped to give the WTF a miss as he will be having his appendix removed so 9th spot would then go through.

I agree it won't be easy, but the Ferrer match apart, Murray played quite well in Asiia - probably his best tennis of the season. Ferrer has also had a poor reason, resulting in him struggling to make the finals. Edited by min

Yes but the fact that Ferrer has been struggling badly and Murray normally beats him on hard courts then it was not great seeing Murray lose (from a winning position) to him in Shanghai.

The good news is that at least Murray has reached the semis - he has beaten Struff 6-2 7-5.

Never easy watching Murray, but he gains revenge for Shanghai and beats a player ranked in the top right for the first time this year - so no complaints.

Berdych beats Dimitrov in Stockholm - not sure if that'll work in Andy's favour or not as although no ground made up on Berdych, Dimitrovslips further behind.

Nishikiri has opted to play neither of the 500 tournaments next week, so he's definitely still in the mix.
