Pyramid's Achievements

  1. Once again the annual pilgrimage is almost upon us. After much deliberation I'm back down once again for the punter v bookie spectacle. Staying in Cheltenham this, so the craic will be good. Yet again the first day is good racing, but unless your on at fancy prices, most are ones to avoid. The first day there are only 2 races worth betting on. The first handicap il be taking kruzhlinen. And the 4 miler. Nina. The rest of the races will be a watching spectacle. Best of luck to all, and be lucky.
  2. Will be giving it a miss. I'm sure it will be a good day for anyone going. Have not got into the flat this year, which I suppose explains the lack of substantial returns!!! Will get a look at the distance race though. Next racing for myself is aintree on 7th November. Bring on the jumps.
  3. Does Lanark still not do point to point? Used to be a member at Carlisle, but haven't renewed for a couple of years now. A tidy wee place that certainly has some good jumps racing, especially the 2 Sunday's in November, and a good midweek meeting. Jp McManus sends a lot of his horses up there, if they can't get up the hill at Carlisle they won't get up the hill at Cheltenham. Enjoy Chester. Is that a reciprocal day? That meeting used to be a freebie for racegoers from certain courses. Happy punting.
  4. I hope there was not too much collateral damage done there. Think I would have lost a couple of quid, intact I know I would have!!!! Good crowd last night? I'm previewing the ante post Cheltenham markets just now. Hopefully get one at the right price, that runs in the right race!!!
  5. Best of luck at Carlisle tonight. Strange betting in the 1740. My two scoops 10-1 into 4/1. Glasgon won well at Carlisle 3 weeks ago. Enjoy the night.
  6. Only 1 bet for me this week 135 @ 10/3 On Patrick reed To beat Zachary Johnson Shane Lowry Tiger woods Phil Michelson. Best of luck to all.
  7. All of your remaining ones are easy to get to. With Newbury being a first class track, with its own train station. And all easy navigated from London. Since Ryanair stopped flights to Bournemouth now, im looking to go to wincanton day after the England game at Wembley for the badger ales day. I'm still in high 30s tracks, but will get back on the holy grail next year. Best of luck to you in fulfilling your quest, and hope you get the fruits of your rewards!!
  8. I the woman drivers, are not the best!!!! Went to the circle bar, down a wee lane, cocktailed up, then down the botch agate, griffin, unit, walkabout and a couple of others. . Stayed in the county as it was handy and cheap, and then train back up the road. That's a superb itinerary there. a few there on my list to do. I've Vegas and Hawaii as soon as back from Georgia, ( back in the country 14 hours. . May weather fight now the 12th, and I fly to Honolulu on the 11th. Typical. Southport for weekend 6th - 8th November so aintree on the Sunday. Sat 21st November haydock for betfair chase. Booking up leopardstown for the first sun in feb. But going to make a concerted effort to get to more racing, next year.
  9. Had the first 2 winners, after that ran out of luck......... A good night had, band were good, but not a fitting finale for the evening. Stayed down in Carlisle for a night out. Back to reality today. Might, and a very lightly might, make a day at York for ebor meeting, we shall see. Failing that aintree and haydock in November will be my next racing exploits.
  10. Hope it was a profitable night last night to all who attended?? Last time I was at that meeting it got abandoned a few years back!!! off to Carlisle tomorrow night, for a sociable evening rather than a gambling one ( terrible racing ). This will only be my 5th day racing this year, this issue will be addressed in the near future, with more time becoming available into the start of next year. Bring on the jumps. Be lucky folks.
  11. I Put a sizeable bet on oosti in April @ 50/1, so fingers crossed there. And il have a speculative punt on sneds to win his group. Best of luck to all
  12. Only one bet this week. Postponed in the hardwick, on Saturday. Been having a dabble last few weeks. Best of luck to all.
  13. Tiger woods price backed from 50/1 into 28/1!!!! Fancy speith for this but too short in the betting. Backed Russell Henley 125/1 e/w Patrick reed 35/1 e/w Top debutant - Robert streb 16/1 e/w Top continental european- Jonas blixt 18/1 e/w Pp group g winner - Brandon grace 4/1 Best of luck to all.
  14. Was 450 down for the week, but a £2 placepot up today narrowed losses to £250 total, ( including £400 loss on ante post ) Cheltenham post mortem. Willie Mullins is killing ante post betting. With it hard to define a definitive target in the novice races. As cometh the day, there is no value at all. Also owners running horses in wrong races, just to have a runner in every race, and trainers not running horses against each other. But hey ho. It is what it is, and it's their horses. Still some good value winners to be had this week. Backing Mullins blind today, would have yielded a 25/1 and 7/1 winner. And most of all good racing, with some breath taking performances. Well done to all winners, and the countdown commences to next year. Best week of the year. Next racing for myself is bangor on dee, on Saturday week. Back to the bread and butter of racing. Can't beat it.
  15. Have backed no more heroes in the Albert Bartlett, petite Parisian e/w in the triumph, and many clouds in the gold cup. Salsify ran well at punchestown on his first run back, on the fringe done it's usual. Prince de beau champ has since won well on sat there, so the form is there. Paint the clouds hacked up at Donny. Don't see anything else winning. Also need giggy stud to get a winner today. Got them to be top owners. Down 160 week to date. We shall c what happens today. Best of luck to all.
