FFS ... And their answer is... Brown?

Hardly a secret weapon. I thinnk it will be harder for them to play the same stunt again. Brown was quite happy to give the illusionof Home Rule/substantial powers before Indy Ref and it hasn't happened. Some people will lap up everything he says but I don't think others are going to be so easily fooled a second time.

You'll have a fair few fair weather crowd who'll look at it as "oooh he was Prime Minister", but as for his actual impact, I don't think they'll get the result they are expecting.

Pensions is the best way to hit brown ie the state theft from public and private sector pension schemes of £118 billion when he was chancellor and the 3 changes to how pensions are taxed ie the removal of tax relief, taxing dividends from shares, and taxing profits from the buying and selling of shares ... shares are how pensions schemes make money and those 3 changes have spirited another £200 billion plus from our pension schemes .... tax relief alone was worth £5 billion a year to pension schemes and this is why our pensions are f**ked

the post above was not entirely factual ... couldn't edit it

According to Scotland on Sunday, Murphy has published 50 achievements since taking the leader role 50 days ago. (It doesn't say what they are, though.)

http://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/top-stories/labour-will-take-on-snp-over-health-and-education-1-3676188?WT.mc_id=Outbrain_text&obref

On another front, it's repeatedly reported that Murphy has control over Scottish affairs, and doesn't need to ask Miliband's permission.

But what is the reality? Surely he only has say over currently devolved matters?

Also... that whole spat about the mansion tax. Was it manufactured?* Am I missing something, or it is not simply a (UK) Labour policy that a mansion tax would be used to raise revenue, and the Scottish Govt could spend its resources as it sees fit, as per normal? It's not a new kind of device by which Murphy as first minister could undercut the rest of the UK?

*Why London v Scotland suits Jim Murphy

"50 Days of Change with Jim Murphy"

No inherent contradiction between "stop" and "can take place"

Let's have another quango

Even the Scotsman reported that the true figure was £145 million and it was held back to be allocated on public spending this year.

A bit like me planning on how to spend the next Euromillions jackpot when I don't buy lottery tickets

Labour suffering from some sort of delusional Buzz Aldrin syndrome "Look Neil, I'm the first man on the moon"

Cannae argue with that
