Proper magic! It always tastes better home cooked but strangely is never very economical with the core ingredients costing more than one you get out the butchers. I love cooking though so it's worth the extra expense for the experience and the added flavour. Anyways the recipe is a piece of pish to follow. I'd recommend giving it a bash. Proper Scotch pies, no gristle, slightly peppery, really enjoyed them. Living in England so long, you can only really get Bells Scotch pies from Morrisons, and they're really not that great, so it made a smashing change to get the real deal. We also had a family sized steak pie, which was just beautiful as well. Lovely crispy fluffy lid, soggy underneath, and steak that melted in your mouth.
