Fairbairn
Called Blackpool owner Karl Oyston an "odious ferret". Received a solicitor's letter from Oyston and was forced to issue the below humiliating apology... "Dear fans, After my earlier post regarding calling Karl Oyston of Blackpool FC an 'odious ferret' I've been contacted by my lawyers. So I would like to retract my comments, they were unfair and misjudged and I can only apologise for letting myself, my family and my fans down. The last thing I want is to cause upset and to be taken to court over a silly comment. I can only hope that my apology is accepted by ferrets and ferret owners everywhere. They of course make lovely, loving, loyal pets & are easily trainable & entertaining. To compare them to that total bell*** was an insult to ferrets and for that I am sorry. To be even be mentioned in the same sentence to that knuckle-dragging slimy c********* was a miscalculation on my part. Regards, Jason Manford" Well played!! ibelieve!!!
What's his issue with the Blackpool chairman, he's a city fan is he not? I think his first tweet was to do with the chairman suing 2 of their supporters.
sbcmfc
What's his issue with the Blackpool chairman, he's a city fan is he not? Trying to win favour with the locals before he opens a comedy night in Blackpool? No such thing as bad publicity.
PASTA Mick
Oyston has used a few fans with a few more pending. He's actually trolling his fans and going out his way to wind them up. Also claims of harassment and intimidation aimed at him. As a part-time PNE fan, it's bloody brilliant watching it unfold. Blackpool will get relegated again next season, and probably the one after that too.
At U Peter
As a part-time PNE fan, Big one on Sunday for them. Would like to see them go up so hope they don't end up in the playoffs as it hasn't been too kind for them over the years. PASTA Mick
Fans on the pitch with flares. The aim is to get the match abandoned.
sbcmfc
Only in Blackpool (or Benidorm).... The scene soon became somewhat farcical, as one fan made their way onto the pitch to join the protest on a mobility scooter
irnbruman
You might be a part time Preston fan Mick , but what the chairman is doing to the club doesn't really merit laughing at. If it happened at any club Id feel sorry for the fans. The man seems hell bent on singularly destroying the club having removed substantial funds gained from being in the Premier League. having no squad at the start of the season and offering peanut wages (in comparison to other teams in the division) , employing loan players and kids from youth team , having probably the worst training facilities of any part-time or full time professional club in England. is a dereliction of duty. To then make matters worse by trolling on the fans' site and then suing people who rose to the bait - in one case a pensioner being sued for allegedly 20 grand (which was crowd funded in the end), the same people printing grovelling apologies to the family responsible which to most sane people did not look at all voluntary but forced. Then prior to the fans protest yesterday with a march through Blackpool , the statue of Stan Mortensen was removed from outside the ground - cant think of any other reason than just to goad the fans. Apparently there was a "fire alarm" prior to the fans invasion of the pitch - could be a valuable defence when the owner seeks to prosecute those involved. Its a sorry state for any fan to see his club being destroyed - but if you feel like laughing Micck then I'm afraid its shows no class at all. Any genuine football fan should be supportive of the Blackpool fans not laughing at them.
DaveyDenoon
Not a Blackpool fan at all but what Oyston has done to the club is nothing short of disgraceful. The image of him smugly sitting there smiling and laughing when the protest started sickened me. Why can't he and his ilk just extricate themselves from football and leave the game to those who at least care a wee bit about it and the clubs they run? Why does he want to destroy Blackpool FC? I can't see any evidence he wants to do anything but. Edited May 3, 2015 by DaveyDenoon

Manford and comedy night, don't match up - poor excuse for a comic
