Parklife
I think it's easier to refuse someone from entry than to eject them when inside. He wasn't with the group of wee neds up the back. From what I could see he was just standing with one other guy. I doubt if he'd have had the intervention of the UBs on entry. It appeared that the UB got involved when the police did. It 'appeared' that he went quietly after the stewards & police spoke to him. There was no need for a few of the youngsters to come charging over seats to grapple with the stewards & police & get involved. I like a drink as much as the next guy but am sick of idiots who get so pished they're a liability. I got knocked over a row of seats at Derby by a so called fellow fan who was do drunk he fell down the stairs. I think there's been enough calamitous events at the football caused by drunken fans. I'm sure you'll agree. (As an aside. We're you in the bar at Dusseldorf airport the day after the game wearing a yellow shirt & jeans sat with another guy)? Fair enough. I just think it's a bit harsh to blame the guy earning £7/hr on the turnstile, who would've saw him for about 6 seconds, making it very difficult to make a judgement on his level of drunkenness. Nah, i wasn't in Germany. Why did you think it was me?

Nah, i wasn't in Germany. Why did you think it was me? I agree to a certain extent but that's his job surely? There wasn't exactly a huge crowd & if they can take the time to stop & search handbags then they ought to be able to spot someone who's drunk enough to be spotted during the game, no? Of course he could have sneaked a half bottle in & topped himself up . There were a couple of guys sitting across from us at the airport. You were pointed out once at a game - Spain in Alicante, I think? Just looked a bit like him/ you that's all.

ShedTA
If he can stop my wife & ask to search her bag, then yes, he can stop a drunken boy from getting access. 'FFS'. I didn't say it was the answer or anyone's fault. He didn't get drunk inside the ground. If security are checking fans on the way in then surely they can spot someone who's so driunk he has to be ejected? There was conjecture over what happened & I responded. Maybe the fighting outside the ground was his mates who didn't get in. FFS The explanation from some rangers fans always has to be qualified doesn't it? There always had to be some blame laid at someone else's door. Do you get lessons on this before every game at ibrox? It's endemic from fat Sally right down through the club. If the boys on the turnstiles at Hampden stopped every drunk person getting in it would be half empty. Never see fighting though. At least I can't remember ever seeing any. OLAS
As far as I know, stewards can't take the law into their own hands and refuse entry because someone is too drunk. They can inform the coppers who'll then refuse entry. Looks like the wee naff was busy after he left the ground. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-29499855 It's going to turn into us against them. They're utter scum. Goozay
Can I direct you to the original post which asked if anyone could shed any light on 'Rangers fans fighting'? Can I direct you to my earlier post asking how "normal" Rangers can tolerate such songs being sung?
redstevie007
Can I direct you to my earlier post asking how "normal" Rangers can tolerate such songs being sung? Because they are the righteous, they are persecuted and they do no wrong. It's just fitba banter.

To be fair,it probably rules that set of fans out. Marigolds being purchased would possibly mean they intended to do some cleaning and I just can't buy into that

Larky Masher
Reap and sow spring to mind. A bit of humility and they would be fine. I'd suggest that the vast majority on this board have shown humility and endlessly condemned both the behaviours of the idiots in the support and the inaction of the board(s) in doing something about it.
