The 'flag Issue' At Ibrox Yesterday

Recommended Posts

Seeing as I have been banned from replying to the 'Rangers fans fighting thread' - I can confirm I did see said 'incident' yesterday, and that the reason it was taken was due to a drunken Raith fan - who was steaming - grabbing the flag of a boy holding it and then waving it in a guys face while calling him a Hu.n

I saw the Gers fan grab the flag off him and telling him to bolt or he'd get his arse booted and then the flag being hidden from the police and the guy protesting his innocence to said police.

But hey, two sides of every story doesn't matter when it comes to Rangers fans.

Oh and hightower, i'm hoping you weren't the guy with the Raith away top who spat at one of the Rangers guys as he walked by.

You happened to see the exact same incident that Hightower did? Coming out of a stadium with what, 30-odd thousand others? Aye, ok

Yes, and it was my work mates pal who had the flag. I was meeting my workmate to pick up tickets for Billy Connelly for tonight.

Not very nice to specifically pick him out as a potential offender of spitting on someone. He didn't name you personally when he was generically having a go at Stranraer fans.

What flag issue are you gibbering about and there was no raith fan calling anyone a certain name while waving a flag in the boys face as far as i know. The only flag i am talking about and was doing so on the other topic was our flag that was grabbed by 4 so called rangers fans off 1 young raith fan who was standing himself. This flag was an 18 ft x 10ft saltire with RATH ROVERS FC and FIFES FINEST on it.It cost us over £300 and will be a long time before it is replaced. If you are quite happy to not discuss this while trying to make the rangers fans out to be angels then go ahead.Another thing singing about long dead ira hunger strikers is not acceptable at scottish football especially not in the lower leagues. On another issue i am 6ft 4 and had a raith hat and scarf on whilst wearing a fifes finest polo shirt so it certainly wasnt me allegedly spitting at any rangers fans.So give it a rest.I did go looking for the idiots who stole our flag with no police or stewards helping to avoid that situation.

So you are saying a raith fan had a fifes finest flag then a rangers fan took it off when he was called a bad name.I find that hard to believe that the lad in question would say something like that and he wasnt drunk. So where is the flag now ?
