McToot
I expect that either the March or May friendly will be in Belfast. Would no doubt suit both countries. I would love a May trip to Moscow. Fights cheap, visa expensive. I don't think Windsor will be ready in March and NI might even have two games lined up for then. Perhaps May, but might depend on any other good offers that come in, especially given teams can only play one other qualified team.

scot scotland scottish
Northern Ireland are playing Slovenia at home on the 28th of March (according to the Slovenian FA). So they've therefore organised a friendly in 24 hours. Something the SFA struggle to do in 24 weeks!

The Kilt
No wonder we dont have a game and dont have teams lining up to play us. Do we ever have somebody at the Tournie Draws selling "scotland" for a game? i am guessing the answer is no. They will all be ion the bars talking about playing each other after the draw....SFA not at the bar Edited December 15, 2015 by The Kilt
Brummie Hibs
Looks like there will definitely be a home friendly next year. From latest SFA email: "Congratulations to Scotland Supporters Club member, Freyja who, after some impressive dance moves, won a player escort place at Scotland’s first home friendly match in 2016. Well done Freyja!"

scot scotland scottish
Do Iceland have friendlies planned? Somebody (not sure who) from the Icelandic FA was at Hampden for some sort of seminar type thing that was hosted by SFA / Stewart Regan. I wonder if the subject came up?... Green_Tide_Rising
Russia manager in his press conference yesterday says he wants a game against a "British team" and wants to arrange games Scotland, ROI and NI. If thats the case - then it is down to between Scotland and Northern Ireland, as im pretty sure all our Friendly dates between now and Euro 2016 have been Booked. We are confirmed to Play Switzerland and Slovakia in March and Holland in May....so we cannot fit in a Russia game pre Euros Edited December 15, 2015 by Green_Tide_Rising

Not suprised reagen was sniffing them up their arse. A country of 300,000 qualify for euros when Scotland with 5 million can't.

Yes they are playing the USA in Los Angeles on the 31st of January and likely to play at least one other game in January. They don't have any fixtures confirmed for March or May/June yet. Pretty sure we wont be playing 2 friendlies in May We did Play Hungary in June before we took part in EURO 2012 the following 2 weeks later - so maybe the FAI are thinking something similar for this June However if thats the case, Id be pretty shocked if they agreed to take the squad out to Moscow with the tournament so close , and also if its a June friendly...I would presume the Russians would want to play a team within the U.K and Ireland with a little more time to spare than a couple of weeks or 1 month , in order to prepare for their game against England....so I still dont think they will be playing us. The 2nd game will be more than likely in June. The Dutch game is a full 2 weeks before your first game. You would be mad not to have another game nearer the time. I am not saying you are going to play Russia (who are looking for games in Europe potentially in nutreal venues) but you are certainly going to play another game. It has been talked about in the Irish press for ages.
