  1. For a minute I thought you meant Humza had quit! 🤦‍♂️
  2. Supporting the SNP at the moment is a bit like being in a pub with a couple of mates who have been on the sauce all day, are absolutely blootered and are making a scene. Everyone else in the pub is either irritated by them or are laughing at them; the bar staff are no longer serving them and the bouncers are staring over at them, poised to pap them out; yet they are still roaring, singing and giggling away, completely unaware of how embarrassing they are, and you're left sat there thinking "please, just fucking STOP!". The B-side to the HCA fiasco is going to be the Misogyny Act, which is set to reignite the whole bloody trans issue because they seem intent in including transwomen in the legislation. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have included sex as a protected characteristic in the HCA, meaning both biological females and transgender people would be covered equally? Say what you like about Kermit, but he got a show out there every week. We, on the other hand, have Gonzo in charge.
  3. No, me neither, but I'm not medically trained. It could be that he's able to continue his career but it becomes a persistent problem for him, meaning he never quite fulfils his potential. He has already been out since October and isn't expected back for Brentford any time this season, so it's clearly a problematic injury. Hopefully, though, the injury has completely cleared and he's fit to play a part in the tournament.
  4. "I said to him, 'Aaron, my advice is this; from my own career, one of the lessons I learned is that when you're a young player and opportunities like this arise, you always think there's going to be plenty more in your career'. "Landscapes change very quickly; careers change very quickly and this might be your only opportunity to play in a major tournament'. "Now I hope for Scotland and for Aaron Hickey it's one of many, but you just never know." I can see Pressley's logic here but I am not sure it's very good advice from a career perspective. If Hickey hasn't recovered sufficiently from his injury then attempting to play competitive football would likely exacerbate it, potentially leading to further issues in the future. Ideally Hickey would just sit this one out but knowing how infrequently Scotland qualify for tournaments and how short we are of viable alternatives who play in his position means he's still very much in the picture. It's a tough one for Hickey; does he: 1) put a potentially great career in jeopardy by possibly knackering himself in the Euros; or 2) miss out on a rare opportunity to represent his country in a major finals.
  5. The same way you check if someone is 17 or 18, I guess. It does seem absurd asking people people who are in their mid-forties for ID though 😄
  6. I suppose we could play 3-5-2 but it would mean dropping one of Gilmour, McGinn, McGregor and McTominay.
  7. He'd be an improvement on some of the names being bandied about. As well as RB he can also play in central defence and midfield, so he'd be a useful option to have in a 23 man squad.
  8. Very much so. He looks a fantastic prospect. I had hoped when Calvin Ramsay went on loan to Preston from Liverpool that he'd have the kind of impact on the Championship that Gray has had, but instead he seems to have gone off the radar.
  9. It really does beggar belief. Nicola Sturgeon may be many things but she isn't stupid. A stupid person wouldn't have got as far as she has and dominated politics in this country for so long. For her to make such a pig's ear of a golden opportunity I find suspicious.
  10. You honestly couldn't write this! 😂
  11. Everton getting horsed 4-0 by Chelsea at halftime. Sean Dyche subs on - wait for it - Nathan Patterson! 😲
  12. He sounds ideal for our team 😂 Patterson is a strange one. Up until the turn of the year he was featuring regularly for Everton - not always starting games but he was still seeing plenty of gametime - but now he's seemingly welded to the bench at Everton and his performances for Scotland last month looked for all the world like those of a player completely shorn of confidence. I feel sorry for him, but ideally he wouldn't even be in consideration. That said, he's still played more first team football than Ralston this season!
