Dillinger
As bad a game as I've seen anyone have in a Scotland game in long time Never got a look at the bench, but assume Robertson out the picture just now? Anya came on and did a better job while covering from his position as winger than the LB had done all game
Caledonian Craig
Forsyth played because of his physical presence against a mighty physical team. Robertson is NOT physical and it would have been suicidal to have two such attack-minded full-backs on the pitch at the same time in a crucial match which would have been the case had Robertson and Hutton started. Sure Forsyth had his nervy moments but so did Hutton and it wasn't like he gifted Ireland their goal.

Dillinger
Pretty sure the cross that lead to the corner they scored from came from his side. Everything went down there as they quickly realised he was honking.
Caledonian Craig
Jeez so because the corner came from that side of the pitch that becomes Forsyth's fault?? Coleman is about Ireland's best player down that flank so he was always going to be exposed as Malden ahead is not a track back and help type player. Caledonian Craig
Now by no means was I saying he was good but considering it is only his 4th cap and he is dropped in at the deep end without costing us a goal I won't overly condemn him when you look how poorly more experienced players such as Brown, Nail mither and Hutton played. Caledonian Craig
No macaroon just a supporter who says it as he sees it. Forsyth was poor in the first half but improved in the second half - much like the rest of the team so do we need any scapegoats?
Paulo2576
Typical witch hunt, yes he had a very poor first half but was fine after break, probably not our left back going forward but I'm happy to have him in the squad. Derby city fans reckon he's one of the few players who should retain his place in the team next season. Although he had a tough first half he was Hardly alone in having a shocker. weekevie04
He improved in the second half, but had a poor game. He's still young though and from what I've seen of him outwith Scotland, he looks a decent player.
Sponge Bob Tartan pants
Forsyth badly exposed given that Anya wasn't playing which would have occupied coleman. So was two against one a lot of the time.
Caledonian Craig
Forsyth badly exposed given that Anya wasn't playing which would have occupied coleman. So was two against one a lot of the time. Exactly. Maloney was ahead of him and he is not really a tracking back type of player hence Forsyth got exposed by Coleman (the best player in their side). Just remember left-backs in recent games have had Anya to support them.
Bannannan
It should always be Robertson and Anya.If necessary drop Hutton.

flynnyboy
He is awful. Having a soft spot for Derby I watch all their games when shown on telly and have seen him play a in the flesh a good few times. That today is his usual, certainly in the last 12 months. The derby season ticket holders I know detest him. Think he is a liability. He showed why today. To give the ball away, under pressure and under no pressure into such dangerous positions so many times was criminal. Shouldn't have started. Several other options. His first half performance should've meant he never came back out. He slightly improved in the second half but even then he was below average and was exposed as being our big weak link. Good result but Forsyth and Ritchie decisions nearly cost us. Thankfully strachan seen the Ritchie mistake and Anya made the impact which brought us the point. I can't see for the life of me why he never seen the Forsyth one. Strachan's poorest performance/selection of this campaign but he has been so good for us he is allowed a mistake or two in this case. BraveheartGordon
As bad a game as I've seen anyone have in a Scotland game in long time Never got a look at the bench, but assume Robertson out the picture just now? Anya came on and did a better job while covering from his position as winger than the LB had done all game Forsyth played because of how bad a game Robertson had defensively v England, wasn't looking for someone to provide attacking quality, defensively Forsyth did his job, I'm not his biggest fan but can understand Strachan's reasoning. Dillinger
Not a witch hunt or a scapegoat (how could it be when we didn't lose?!) just a fan commenting on a major talking point from the game, if that's still allowed on here? He was brutal, worth discussing.
Pool Q
He was slightly less bad in the 2nd half to be fair, but struggled throughout. Many were, wrongly, impressed with him against Qatar. I guess that includes Strachan, who made a mistake in playing him last night in a game that was several steps up. No harm done though. LewisEDI
he made a couple of decent clearances in the second half but the first half was beyond bad, i was screaming for him to be off after 10 minutes, he looked like he had been taken out the stand for a game, he actually couldnt kick the ball properly, what on earth did he try and do when he had all the time in the world to put a cross in during the second half, i think he just closed his eyes and swung his foot at the ball. whittacker should have started and he should have been on at half time, he should never have come out for the second half, thank god mcgeady was out as he would have run riot against him. But strachan deserves credit for going with mulgrew and martin at center half as they were both excellent, i cant remember even germany getting as many balls into the box as ireland did, seemed to be relentless and they must have had what seemed about 20 corners. Caledonian Craig
He was rank rotten. As were most of the rest of the team in the first half but I don't see any singular threads dedicated to them.
