Duncan Blackheart
A pitch that bad is only going to suit Gibraltar, not us. Should move the NI friendly to a different ground. Maybe Toryglen - should still be able to fit the crowd in.

iainmac1
Pele learned to play the game on a beach Aye but he was half decent. Imagine how fast Chris Martin would be on sand...that's when he wouldn't be falling over his own feet.

It's the default position for those with opinions without substance it seems........
Duncan Blackheart
It's not so much that we won't beat Gibraltar, I'm thinking more of the goal difference (if it counts).
Bannannan
As it stands the pitch is not only terrible,it's mega dangerous as our captain confirmed.SFA get it fixed pronto..
wanderer
Queens Park have only been back at Hampden about a month now? Yet been a long time since last saw the Hampden pitch in a state like that. Sure we had this problem in the early 00's, then they got it relaid again by a different contractor (wasn't there a stupid story that the new pitch was coming from England so it would be English soil we are playing on?) and there has been no problems since. jailender
Laying the pitch during the winter months is always going to cause problems, as the soil is too cold for much root development. So the turf basically is a big green carpet.
Mee
I understand all the historical reasons for it but Queens park should not be playing their matches in hampden, its a ridiculous situation when it means the pitch is wrecked for the matches that pay for the place. Duncan Blackheart
I can see a situation developing where the company that owns the ground won't pay for a new pitch while the sfa won't confirm renewal and vice versa. Just move to Murrayfield for a couple of games!

Could not agree more on this, they shouldn't be playing there. History or no history, they should be ground sharing with a similar sized side or building a small ground to suit their fan base

Charlie Endell
Gibraltar game could be played at Rugby Park at those prices! That's quite ambitious! Newlandsfield is just up the road.
