Nice Restaurant In Rome?

Hi,

As per the title, really. Does anyone know of a nice restaurant in Rome for the missus' birthday? Am going next month and would like to take her somewhere nice.

Decent bars would also be welcome!

Try Mamma Angela's. It's north of the main train termini in Rome, 3 or 4 streets back. Wonderful food and very well priced.

There's also a place called Ad Hoc, more expensive but do some nice set 3/4 courses, with selected wine with each course. Me and the Mrs went here after getting engaged last year. Up towards Piazza del Popolo.

Family run (husband is chef, wife serves, daughter does the money), sits off a small side road from Piazza Navona, looks like nothing from the outside but great food and the family are fantastic and very friendly.

I'd recommend all of those 3 to anyone, but Mamma Angela's was my favourite, but they were all very memorable
