scot scotland scottish
I stumbled on a nice wee park here on Sunday. Having checked on google earth I reckon it's very new (well done councillors for resisting the urge to build flats) but the most striking thing was the paths were all emblazoned with a listing of various good albums by good bands. At first I thought they were Glasgow bands, then thought they must be at least Scottish but then realised they were all UK bands (maybe even the world?). Anybody know about this cool little park? And what's the deal with the bands' albums list on the paths??
jenblueeyes
If it's the park I'm thinking of, they are all bands who have played at the Barrowlands. Edited May 14, 2015 by jenblueeyes
1ANDYP
Is it at barras
Slinky
It opened last year before the Commonwealth Games. It references all the bands that have played at the barrowlands. I'm sure it's just a temporary park. expect the councillors to build flats there in the future. Edited May 14, 2015 by Slinky
Squirrelhumper
It's definitely temporary.
scot scotland scottish
Thanks folks. Makes sense now as it's pretty close to the Barrowlands. Disappointing (but in no way surprising) to read it's only temporary before they shoehorn in more flats.
