Damo
I'm surprised at how calm i am. Reconciled myself last week that this could go No and have taken a que sera sera outlook ever since. Every aspect of the media and establishment has been against us which framed my thinking last week, amazing that we go in today neck and neck. Which is not to say i wasnt emotional when I cast my ballot. Edited September 18, 2014 by Damo

Mark frae Crieff
Been in and strode to the polling booth... Made sure that the pencil cross was nearly through the paper !! Did notice that it was a black colouring type pencil and no an HB

EvilScotsman
Felt brilliant yesterday seeing all the goings on at George Square until I heard that 52/48 Poll last night on LBC. I know I should ignore polls but... Margin of error bud. They're also not reaching parts of the electorate which are overwhelmingly 'Yes' e.g. new registrations and 16/17 year olds. 63%, no bother. Cheers for that, mate Mate was saying that there's a hell of a lot of afternoon landline calls in these polls too.

Think the result will be tight but I'd hack my own right arm off right this minute if we could get a 63% Yes. In my opinion very few average working class folk on the street will ever sign up for an online poll company either, in contrast to some comfortable middle class political anorak. And as you pointed out the16/17 year old vote may very well have been overlooked by many. Edited September 18, 2014 by ErsatzThistle
Bristolhibby
This is worse than the 2012 Cup Final. Hope I feel the same at the end though. I know how you feel mate. I was in tears before the Cup Final. Same sort of pent up raw emotion, expectancy and fear of the worse. Been welling up all morning, trying to keep busy at work, the enorminity is overbearing. And to complete the analogy, I hope to fook that the outcome is noticing like the 2012 Cup Final! All the best guys and gals! J

The polling companies are supposed to account for that - they've been in this business for quite some time and are supposed to know a fair bit about it! I'm just hoping that all these people who have never voted, or don't normally bother to vote, aren't making their way to the polling stations today just to endorse the status quo.
