Flora MaDonald
I've just been butchered to hell. Is £19 for a large filling reasonable?
deecie
It's normally closer to £190.
Charlie Endell
I'd say so. Part of one my molars appears to have disintegrated - I've managed to get an appointment for 10.10 tomorrow - I expect my bill will be somewhat larger than 19 quid... dezmondo
19 pounds is about right. Sounds like a large NHS amalgam filling?
Grumpyauldgit
I have just finished a long course of dental work, (6 teeth hauled out, 6 more filled, and a top set off falsers made) and the bill only came to £185. I was expecting to pay a hell of a lot more, than what I did.
scotlad
I am due to have my first two fillings in a fortnight; pretty sure the advice slip I've been given said it's going to cost £140.

jenblueeyes
I am due to have my first two fillings in a fortnight; pretty sure the advice slip I've been given said it's going to cost £140. Is that private or NHS though? I'm still with the NHS (been with the same dental practice from about 8 years of age) and recently had the first filling in years which was less than £20. It's shite though compared to my old fillings - feels like it's been packed full with concrete.

Cove_Sheep
There seems to be more NHS dentists than hairdressing salons in Aberdeen these days.

G-Man
Shut up fandango. I'm traumatised. I used to know someone called Carlos Fandango, wasn't till I received a wedding invite from him I discovered it wasn't his real name. I thought he was part Spanish. Charlie Endell
Dentist managed to patch it up with a filling - 12 quid, but said it might not last (in which case I'll be shelling out for a crown).
