How Was Your Day?

Bit different from the usual home game experience. Few pints in the Bull in Paisley, taxi to Ibrox, mini crawl after the game (Park Bar, Kensington, Bellrock (Doctors)), tube from Kinning Park to St Enoch, few jars and some food in Sloans, last train hame.

Great wee day, oh and we won too :ok:

I enjoyed going to Ibrox. Haven't been there for about 20 years.

Atmosphere would have been so much better with a 50K crowd but the ticket prices were the reason for that.

We walked from central glasgow out to Ibrox. We foolishy thought you could go over the squiggly bridge and then simply walk along the side of the clyde. You used to be able to do that, couldn't you? Lots of fences, barriers etc, stopping you.

At the fitba the boy 2 seats away from me slept through the whole game. Possibly caused more by his alcohol consumption than the quality of football on show.

Anyway we won.

Some more beer and then the mad last train back down Ayrshire way.

Cheers for posting. We were in MFF because that was the only section we could get 8 together according to the supporters club. Your pictures make a bit of a mockery of that.

To OP had a very good day. Couple of cans in the car on way up and enjoyed our win. The nick some folk get in going to the fitba never ceases to amaze me :)

My only disappointment was the crowd. Sadly poland and Gibralter will be the same. I think many are picking and choosing this campaign myself included. Fair play to those taking a stand and not going at all by way of protest

Was pretty happy with Ibrox, nice to be close to the pitch & atmosphere was decent. Cannae help but feel shafted by the SFA tho as the ticket prices kept 15,000 away. Arseholes.

I agree. And keeping more away from England game I suspect. £50 cheapest?

Couple o pints in the Thornwood, lift to game, WON the game, walked over the bridge to the Snaffle Bit, wee while in Campus with friends which was good. Jammied a train back to Partick. Excellent! Could have been a lot worse (post-indyref blues).

Atmosphere was not a patch on Hampden and the SFA need to sort it out.... From what started as a disaster of a day turned out actually good in the end.... 3 points was vital and we got it job done then only to feel it was all for nothing when i watched the germans get beat... Average good day.... Must win tuesday!!!!

Not a bad day at all considering I wasn't really up for it. Few beers in the Iron Horse which was great fun even at 11 am, few more beers in Alfredos then a quick taxi up to the Park Bar for a few more beers (and quite possibly the sexiest footsoldier I have ever seen, though sadly I had to settle for perving from the other side of the bar as I didn't know anyone with him) then off for some chips, cheese and beans in the most efficient chip shop I've ever been in before heading into Ibrox. Got the result though I would have liked to have seen a more definitive performance against a rather poor Georgia but happy to take it as I was predicting a 1-1 draw all week.

Off over the Millenium bridge and up to the Snaffle bar for a few more beers with Dotdash and Alx and leading him astray yet again with a trip to Campus - sensible head on though and managed to get the second last train home. Up this morning with the usual random unexplained bruises but an additional scabby elbow that I have absolutely no idea how I got it.

The only thing that was good for me yesterday was scotland winning and the ex servicemans club at tradeston as the rest of the day was a shambles.I had a 49 seater booked aswell as an 8 but the boy who was meant to drive the 8 never turned up.I spent about half an hour phoning and texting him trying to see what was going on as folk were waiting to go.I eventually had to bring the 49 seater into kdy with those on the 8 coming down aswell. We then dropped them off at styx in kirkcaldy where i had to phone another bus company who had a bus available but no driver. In the meantime a woman on the bus says that she would drive so i arranged to get the bus brought down to the pub.I then hear that the boy who owns the bus is running late so caroline has to go up to his house in a taxi to collect the bus to then go down to the pub to pick up the rest.I then hear there is no diesel in it so that had to be sorted before coming through to the club.Just aswell that it was a 5pm k.o otherwise they would have been struggling to get through in time.We then proceed to get lost on the way to tradeston with roadworks not helping although we eventually got there. On the way through the driver who was meant to drive phones me to apologise as he thought i needed him to drive to ibrox next week for the rovers game and i said no as it was today.I look at my messages i sent him and it clearly states TIME,PICK UP POINTS AND SCOTLAND GAME.

The club was great apart from the karaoke singers from tayport who proceeded to be booed off stage cos their singing was brutal with one of them saying you are aw boring bassas. At the start of the game i go to the toilet and wife waits for us but when i come out she isnt there but that was cos i come out another door like a ding. After a few calls and texts i eventually get her up at the seats after she has thrown the flag at one of my mates and doesnt talk to me till half time.aarghhhhh.After a good performance and win we go back to the bus where the driver says is everyone here and i tell him yes so he drives off before i hear those fateful words wheres VAL AND JACK.Ffs can the day get any worse as we about left val and her son who had been in the club trying to get a tin of juice. We get back to kirkcaldy where not long after the other bus turns up so i ask caroline if she will drop the bus off as the owner cant come to pick it up but she says no as she is tired and going to glenrothes.I goes ok no worries and go into the pub where i come upon the original driver in a grovelling mood for fecking up.I ask him to do me a favour and take the bus back so he does which helped.Still no happy with him.I then proceed to get pissed dancing to AHA and other random tunes before going down the town till 2am.£7 for a taxi just topped things. So apart from all that i had a great day bring on the irish in november where i am getting the TRAIN.

Drove on my lonesome to Ibrox, parked near the old Benz social club, walked to ground, listened to pipeband warming up, went to seat - GR on the half way line, sweet...

Didnt sing the anthem,

amazed at 5 idiots who took selfies for most of the match, (really? )trying to get into 4 seats, wifey texting the whole game and some east coaster moaning about everything rangers, stewards wearing hun tie, moaning about usually gettin pissed on in the corner (x5 he mentioned it)...

guys next to me were sound, introduced themselves and were pleasant enough...

3 points - best i can say about the game..

walked back to car on motorway and along to parents in Dumbarton and home by 9pm...,,

It's really tough watching Scotland sober, realise how many rockets are in our support
