I will also make another prediction, I will miss the meeting again, because my evil employer and fellow WESTA member, will make me work that night. craigtmck Posted July 22, 2015 Share Posted July 22, 2015 Just wanted to let folk know that there will be a few friends of the late Sonny Lindsay meeting in the Iron Horse from 1.00 on Friday to have a few beers & toast his memory as it would have been his birthday at the weekend. Sonny, who was one of the original WESTA members & veteran of countless trips to see Scotland over the decades, passed away in March after a battle with cancer. I was at Sonny's funeral along with other former and current WESTA members and have many happy and fond memories of Sonny from various trips abroad. Unfortunately I wont be in the iron horse on Friday. I am out on Friday night and will raise a wee dram in his memory (not a voddy and coke though). Hope you have a good time. I can't make the Horse on Friday but I will raise a glass in his memory. It's been a sad year for WESTA as we've lost a number of old stalwarts.
