PASTA Mick
Haha! Remember the nutter was going on about those two. even though Mulgrew went on to become player of the year and a Scottish international he still thinks Aberdeen fans know feck all because they said Mulgrew was alright and should get a Scotland cap ? Hold on, deecie and CoolJ are insisting that aberdeen fans didn't tout Mulgrew for a call-up but you and Parkie seem to remember it. Better get your story right lads. Mulgrew is a terrible left-back and shouldn't play for Scotland in that role. He's alright as a holding player and has done well for us. It was funny to see Aberdeen fans turning on him after he dumped them.
TartanJon
In fact it was the English Tim who thought future Scottish player of year and Scottish internationalist Aberdeen's Charlie Mulgrew was crap and shouldn't get get a game before Celtics Danny Fox or Prestons Ross Wallace. The loon is a feckin 10 carat diamond. TartanJon
He plays in a different position now you mentalist He's still a shite left-back. You do know he played centre half for most of his last season at Aberdeen and sometimes in midfield as well. At the time Scotland were struggling for a natural left back and for someone who is comfortable on the ball.I don't think we were speaking out of turn wanting him to be included in the Scotland squad. Mulgrew becoming player of year while playing in defense and getting into the Scotland squad proves this.
SMcoolJ
He plays in a different position now you mentalist He's still a shite left-back. Simple question. No ulterior motive, not trying to trick you, get an angle, put you in a corner or set you up...........are you wearing a straitjacket right now?Yes or no will suffice 'cos I'm appreciative of the fact you might be typing with your nose. fringo
Lets add more to the mix. Which Dundee Utd players might get into any of these combined teams ? GMS is the obvious one. How about Cifti or Armstrong ?

Too funny You've started with the claim that only 3 Celtic players would get into the Aberdeen side, to claiming Aberdeen fans weren't touring Mulgrew to get a Scotland call-up when he was there (and you were quickly proved wrong) and then on to this shite banter. Not a great evening for you on here. Maybe time for bed? Sweet dreams x

I was simply asking who from from the Celtic team would improve the Dons. Wasn't trying to be a pr1ck or insult anyone. I had three players in mind. I couldn't expand I that. Nevertheless, I received a number of childish comments and have now been wished a good evening? I'm having a great evening thanks! (at a Burns Supper drinking a 30 to Moray, splendid stuff). Ps. Commons is too slow, wouldn't fit it.
Guest faircity
Lets add more to the mix. Which Dundee Utd players might get into any of these combined teams ? I'd take Armstrong before anyone else. GMS is one of those players that catches the eye, does some tidy stuff but is usually completely ineffective and rarely really hurts you where and when it really matters. I'd be demanding much more from a player who has his skills. GMS is the obvious one. How about Cifti or Armstrong ?
Parklife
Pasta Mick is talking pish as usual. The whole debate about mulgrew centred around Fanny Dox. Dox was called up for Scotland (despite being shite and English). Aberdeen fans argued that mulgrew was far better (which he is) and should be in ahead of him. I also argued lee Wallace was better. Mick then came out with the immortal line that Dox must be better because he plays with celtic and lee Wallace plays with hearts. Sums up the blokes fitbaw knowledge. Maybe it's because he never goes to celtic games that he knows hee haw about Scottish fitbaw.

AberdeenAngus
I've been very impressed with Johansen. Pawlett on form is excellent but he can be inconsistent. I think Johansen is a good player too but not convinced he's any more consistent that Pawlett. Taking Fringo's point about adding in Utd players the 3 mentioned all would have a good claim for a place. I suppose the consistency argument can be used for/against most of the players especially the attacking midfielders and forwards. All very good on their day. Would adding ICT to the mix change things? Would Shinnie be the favoured left back?

Kenneth Farrington
This thread is a belter. If we could sent the crap from our squad like Ambrose,Wakaso, Boerrigter, Tonev, etc, to Aberdeen, they'd walk into the side & stand out like sore thumbs. I'm happy Aberdeen have offered a wee challenge for a couple of months & hopefully they can keep it up to keep things interesting. In reality, their biggest concern will be trying to hold onto 2nd place. Utd will win the semi next week & I expect the chat on this thread will be very different if we all come back. You don't half spout some sh1te!!!! Utd may well win next week - that won't change my view that only a few Celtic players would strengthen our first 11.
