jailender
I think that County got around £400k for GMS when he went to Liverpool, so don't know if they would get anything this time.

I think all future fees now have a portion (small one mind) attributed to the developing clubs prior to a player reaching

adamntg
Correct and would be substantial due to the time he's been with Hamilton (since single figures of age) and his current and potential ability. Dundee Utd got Mackay Steven after he was passed his age - interestingly though Ross County would be due a slice of the £250,000 should celtic get him for that as it filters back to the clubs who develop the players initially, Liverpool would probably get a bit too - nothing to them obviously but those are the rules GMS was only 20 when he signed for United. adamntg
I think all future fees now have a portion (small one mind) attributed to the developing clubs prior to a player reaching 21 also, this can't be true. Ross County have already been paid for his development. AND, development fees are only paid where a transfer fee can't be agreed. And GMS is over 23 now anyway. Robroysboy
"Swansea have opened talks with Blackburn over striker Jordan Rhodes, who is rated at £11m." Brilliant move if he can get first team football. Strachan needs an out and out goal scorer and he Rhodes scoring regualry in the EPL would be harder to ignore. Strachan has criticsed Rhodes for work rate off the ball, but surely its horses for courses. Agianst smaller nations where you are more likely to have most of teh ball ( Gibraltar ?) surely Strachan would consider two up top ? Might also be more the case that to succeed in the Premier League, Rhodes will get a bit of a culture shock, discover that he needs to work a lot harder all over the pitch and can't just rely on easy tap ins anymore. If Rhodes can adapt to a much more demanding league than the Championship then we'll have a good player on our hands.

wanderer
Wasn't McCormack about that too!? It is insane. Especially in January, panic buying inflated prices There was a report a while back that the actual fee was something like £7m to Leeds, but with a lot of add on's that bring the whole deal worth up to £11m or something. Caledonian Craig
Stephen Hendrie from Hamilton Accies to West Ham for £2m.... Accies saying they have agreed deal, but West Ham have yet to put in a formal offer. That deal is now declared 'dead' as the Accies are fed up waiting but they are ready to listen to other offers. Ormond
My Sky Sports Package, Phone Rental and Braodband is £28 a month, Helps when you know people in the right places. It's a steal compared to the same package here in the States. For what you have I have to pay $180 a month which works out at 120 pounds.
