  1. There was a death IIRC but it wasn't related to the jag. Stopped as a precaution.
  2. The most important election this week for the SNP wasn't the council election; it was the French presidential election. A Le Pen victory would have meant France leaving the EU and the EU becoming less of an attractive alternative to the Tories in Westminster. You could say it wasn't in doubt but recent history has told us to expect nothing in elections.
  3. Attacking wise Glasgow did what they are capable of to great effect. Surprisingly it didn't all click last night with errant passes and penalty attempts being missed. In saying that, what impressed me most was their defence. They weren't tested a lot but when they were they withstood the pressure excellently. Glasgows kicking game has been phenomenal for some time and last night emphasised that. Territory is everything and the kicks counted! Let's hope this transfers to the national team. I believe that these group of players can do something special soon.
  4. Bought a house last year and always had a love hate with the lampost in the garden/drive. I was preparing to remove it when I was told by the old boy across the road that i couldn't. So i was going to light it but again was told i couldn't. So whats the point? Tried asking council but nobody there can give me a definitive answer. Tried google but all that comes up is forum results. Anyone else had experience with this? I've hung up fairy lights that are solar powered to annoy the old boy across the road (he's a labour cockwomble anyway).
  5. Warsaw (heading for an 8th time in 9 weeks). From museums and history to pubs and food. Everything about this city appeals to me. It's also cheap as which helps... Berlin - Europe's finest capital. Not much more to say than that. Tarragona - elways found it very easy going for a major city. Clean and doesn't have the same touristy crappy feel most of Spain has. Riga - loved it the first time I went, hated it the second. Third time I went though I seen past the stag dos that ruined it and appreciated it for what it was - a city rich in history and pleasing on the eye (even Soviet era block buildings!!) Dusseldorf - had my honeymoon there at Christmas time. Seemed magical. Probably wasn't but it's all about experiences I suppose. Honorable mentions to; Evansville - wee bit out there and again, probably would raise an eyebrow or two but it has its charm and it's pretty much your average small American city. Just has special memories I suppose. Bydgoszcz. Everyone I know who's been has hated it. I loved it. Don't know why it held so much charm for me but it did.
  6. Upload to an imagehosting site and copy the link it gives you. I Googled one I didn't have to register with. Think it was tinypic.
  7. Got this one to wear as my "everyday" watch during the cybermonday sales.
  8. It was a toss up between an oris and a tissot for myself not too long back. I favoured getting an oris because I hadn't had that brand before. I couldn't find one that I liked. They also never really sat right on my wrist. Maybe that was a subconscious thing though. I'd say you made a wonderful choice. Lovely watch.
  9. Should stay well clear of "fashion" brands and go with a "timekeeping" brand. In my (snobby) opinion.
  10. I also have loads of cheap "dress" watches built over a fair period. Whenever I'm about to make a bigger purchase I always get a few in the 20 quid range to try out different styles, sizes etc before going to the jewellers to buy. This gives you an indication of what you want before hand. It works for me but another watch collector I know thinks it's a waste of time. I've had more comments on the following watch; http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B012GPR18K/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1446617156&sr=8-3π=SY200_QL40&keywords=srozi+watch+extra+thin&dpPl=1&dpID=41GpKE5ZpBL&ref=plSrch Than I have on any my better ones. Generally wear that or one of many rotary watches I have for every day wear.
  11. My favourite watch is; https://www.firstclasswatches.co.uk/mondaine-quartz-evo-day-date-a6673034411sbb-p-12038/?gclid=Cj0KEQiA0-GxBRDWsePx0pPtp4sBEiQACuTLNjLf8pV2YKxHfFNDE8534OrFH1_1ILz-QDbCk6ybxXMaAluo8P8HAQ Very simple.
  12. They keep it.I only have lower mid level watches. So far in my collection I have 2 Tissot, 1 Mondaine, 1 Longines, 2 citizen and 1 seiko. My next purchase will be a Tudor as they represent better value for money than rolex and to be fair, they're pretty much the same watch.
