er yir macaroon
Very strong squad but losing Hanley is a blow.
Davied14
In my mind the only definate starters for Dublin are Hutton, Martin, Brown, Anya, Maloney & Naismith. Good to see that we have options.

Marty
I reckon we're still shy of an out and out goalscorer playing well at the highest level. Edited May 18, 2015 by Marty
At U Peter
Berra and Martin at CB for me
LewisEDI
happy with that, thought rhodes might have kept his place, though i'm delighted to see LG back in the squad.

TheBoysinGreen
Right so the Irish squad is dreadful but the Scottish one is strong. Got it

LG is a better option than Rhodes when the other team are expected to have more of the ball.
ProudScot
Forrest's inclusion is always one that is questionable. On the whole it's decent squad though. Short of a good CB but that's been the same old story for best part of a decade now.

Donaldo87
Has Forrest even been playing for Celtic much? Thought GMS might have been keeping him out the team? I've not really been paying attention :/
LewisEDI
I actually think he'll push Maloney for a starting place I would have had GMS rather than forrest but with us playing on the counter the pace of forrest on one side and anya on the other will really give their fullbacks something to think about when they consider pushing up the park. John_B81
Shagger injured or just dropped? Injured, been out the Hull team for a while. No real issues with the squad. Mulgrew should get run outs for Celtic on Sunday and against Qatar to build his fitness for Ireland game, would rather he started alongside Brown than Morrison. CB is a worry without Hanley. paulthepict
Right so the Irish squad is dreadful but the Scottish one is strong. Got it The two squads are not strong or dreadful but are relatively mediocre with the Irish,on paper, probably just shading it.

Got it Can understand your sarcasm.Man for man not that much difference,I'm hoping that WGS will out think MON.Shane Long looks to be coming on to a game,he and McCarthy the two best Irish players. wanderer
Team for Ireland basiaclly picks itself.... ie Marshall, Hutton, Robertson, Martin, Mulgrew, Brown, Anya, Maloney, Morrison, S Fletcher etc etc etc with just minor changes like Berra or Greer beside Martin? will D Fletcher start? will he start Ritchie again? Qatar game I suspect will be starts for the likes of Gordon, Forsyth, Mulgrew (to get him match fit), Adam etc with the rest of the team not venturing to far from the one that will line up in Dublin (ie Anya, Brown and (one or both) the Fletchers will start regardless)

I just find the general attidude from Scots on here amusing. A couple of wins against Croatia and all of a sudden Scotland are a force to be reckoned with. Marshall or Gordon in goals. Berra, Greer or Mulgrew alongside Martin in defence. Robertson, Whittaker or Mulgrew at left back. D. Fletcher, Morrison, Mulgrew or McArthur beside Brown at the base of the midfield. Ritchie, Morrison, Bannan or S. Fletcher to join Anya, Maloney and Naismith in the attacking 4. He isn't injured, he was dropped and has been on the bench for the last at least 5 or 6 games.
