The General Vibe Of The Tamb

Yeah I agree with the OP, this board is full of Timposters ;)

Seriously, I don't know how you can compare RM to this board. On this board the discussions are semi-rational and don't descend into religious bigotry. Naturally people are upset at the result and feelings are still running high but there is some good stuff in the threads e.g.

Reflections thread(which has been ruined by a poster who called Nationalists moaners & referring to Salmond as Pol Pot, or that he would prefer Pol Pot to Salmond)

SNP strategy thread

Its just boring. Too many liked minded posters.Stifles original thought. Seems the Grief Culture Contagion has infected the forum. The 45 is a symbol of this. Next we will have little twibbons.

I remember you were one of the people pushing on here to have the hhun word banned and then days later you were on giving it Tim this and Tim that... shame the mods on here bought your little routine.

See this is exactly the type of comment that is insulting. The implication is that if you're a supporter of the Scotland team you must have wanted a yes vote and if you wanted a no vote go to rangers media.

We are all scotland fans. It is a perfectly valid view to have voted no in the referendum.

It seems like a lot of posters place politics above dividing or even chasing away supporters of the national team.

Anyone who voted No and still wants a national team wants to have their cake and eat it. They voted against us being a proper country and for one that is only capable of playing a game of football on its own. Pretty sad state of affairs to be honest.

true he doesnt have a positive thing to say about any thread really. though he enjoys winding people up I guess.

you must have missed my thread on how well Scotland has done hosting major sporting events. Barely a thread topic is allowed to develop without reference to the referendum and its after effects. I neither like or dislike TAMB. The travel forum is a safe refuge. The rest have gone South. Edited by EddardStark

This is bang on. How you could possibly vote No but still want to go to a Scotland "national" team game in any sport beggars belief. Voting No may not have been driven by a choice to close down Scottish teams but it effectively means we are not a nation and therefore shouldn't have a team.

If the vibe on here was any different post a referendum NO vote then I would truly lose all hope in Scotland. I'm glad people feel the same way as me, that we have missed an amazing opportunity, and have been treated like mugs in the process by a bunch of carpetbaggers.

I appreciate that some Scotland supporters don't want their country to be independent, or even that some may have voted Yes but aren't hugely fussed at the outcome. But a lot of the posts coming from these people aren't exactly constructive either.

We are told to stop being divisive and that we should 'pull together'. But to some that means just shutting up and getting on with it. I think there are people who just want it all to go away; it isn't. If we are ever going to get social justice in this country, people need to fight our corner and stay informed.

Without the threat of independence Scotland wouldn't even have a parliament. People campaigning and participating in discourse keeps our disgrace of a govt on its toes

can we not just one big thread for people to vent their fury?

Speaking as someone who grew up as a Rangers fan and got booted out of Follow Follow Forums on multiple occasions for having differing viewpoints the Rangers Media forum at the beginning was much better as it didn't fall into the BritNat Loyalist bigot rhetoric that Follow Follow had, sadly however it got more popular and those same BritNat Loyalist bigots came on board and jump on every comment that doesn't fit with their deluded outlook. Thanks to these idiots on these boards i have given up on being a Rangers fan.

Is the TAMB like these boards? Partially in that there is a strongly vocal grouping, the difference is most on here who are politically aware want to hear from the other side, we want to have discussions with them as we believe that our belief is correct and that having online debates can flag up the different viewpoints for all to see. Is there abusive people on here? Yes but not in the same automatic way that you see on those other boards.
