Green_Tide_Rising
Celtic park is our spiritual home and we will have the odd Irish fan in the home end; this is great entertainment lads! People sayin Celtic Park is our spiritual home is quite humourous alright!

Slide tackle
Irish players would be more pumped if it was at ibrox if you look at it that way. Winning away in there most hated groud would be excellent for anybody. So stupid saying it being at cp gives them an advantage

WeLuvIrnBru
This has NOTHING to do with the old firm, apart from the fact that we are using Celtic Park. From our previous games with Ireland, any fans that we met and spoke to had a bit is disdain towards the old firm, like many of us. This, to me, is 2 passionate group of supporters getting together to support their COUNTRY!
AberdeenAngus
Anyone know if the Irish FA offered the SFA more than 5% at Lansdowne Road in exchange for more tickets at Parkhead? If not I can't see what the issue is.

1320lichtie
You telling me 55k were sold then 3200 allocated and we have been buying about 2,800 tickets on SFA site? Come on you can't believe what you are actually posting surely Yes. How not? When I bought mines the place was practically sold out, yes batches have been released since then but nowhere near 6000. Absolutely deluded.
Guest allyc
I thought going to celtic park was as spiritual experience to an irishman as walking down a well tarmacadamed road...

Irishandproud
Yes. How not? Guest allyc
Isn't celtic park used as a symbol of irish community in the west of Scotland by certain irish folk bands in their videos and lyrics??

Guest allyc
Exactly...many bars I have visited down country in Ireland have images of larsson and celtic upon the walls.seem to recall irish fans wearing celtic tops over at the carling tournament.so how can it not be playing slightly into the irish psychy...? There may be a downturn in the amounts of supporters watching celtic these days in favour of epl... Edited October 30, 2014 by allyc

Mowgli
I WOULD THINK 15000 PAddys in the ground, we will still drown them out I hope. Absolutly fuming at the sfa for what they have allowed here. But pounds mean more to them 3 thousand odd in the away end, about 5 thousand scattered in amongst 55 thousand Scottish fans, we'll down them out. Anyone know if the Irish FA offered the SFA more than 5% at Lansdowne Road in exchange for more tickets at Parkhead? If not I can't see what the issue is. Because the Scottish FA wanted as many fans as possible in the home end? When it comes to Football you should always, always accommodate your home fans first. If the Scottish FA reckoned the could sell 55 thousand Scottish tickets why would they offer any more to the Irish? They aren't there to help the Irish fans into the game. Dublin should be awesome in the summer with the Saturday KO!! Hopefully the same convos aren't going to be coming up regarding home support/away support for the aviva I'll have to give these boards a miss!! I have to admit I'm pretty skint, I've managed to spend an absolute bomb on Scotland trips/holidays this year (3 trips and 2 holidays) so I'll only be heading to Dublin if we get a result at Parkhead (which I'm taking the car for aswell to save pennies) 2 weeks today, Parkhead should be bouncin.
