Argentina78
Anyone else based in Seville or elsewhere in Spain for the Gibraltar match in October?
wanderer
Not based in Seville, but as we are in Faro for the week and will be renting a car for a couple of days, will be heading along one day (seems to only be 2 hours by car, but bus seems to stop at every one horse town between there and Faro). Yeh that's the only problem, there are no trains between Faro and Seville, so it's either bus or hire a car, but car option means no beers at the natch

If you decide to hire a minibus or whatever we could maybe share with you guys which would help reduce costs?
Argentina78
Who's all travelling to Faro for the match? Need to try and arrange shared transport if there's quite a sizeable group.
ironbrew
If travelling from Spain a couple of things to remember. 1. I believe there`s now a hefty toll on motorway from border to Algarve motorway. Maybe as much as 50€ each way even though Faro is near border. Alternative if driving is quite a detour. 2. Monday 12th October is Spain`s national holiday which may affect bus and train times (train from Seville to Huelva and bus from there is alternative to bus)and quite a lot of Spaniards will spend holiday weekend in Algarve but will wait to see weather forecast before booking. There are a lot of good hotels on the Huelva coast just inside Spain (Isla Canela etc) and some of the hotels offer cheap taxi services to Faro airport. scottincarlisle
There's plenty of good roads on the West side of Faro avoiding the toll so I'd imagine coming from Spain side will be same.
arbroath55
http://www.theportugalnews.com/a22-algarve-tolls-what-you-need-to-know It`s been 8 years since I was last on the Algarve, has the A22 opened since 2007 ? Seem to remember I came down the road from the airport and picked up a motorway from there and just scooted along to the Alvor turn off

Ok let me know, that's a fair trip distance wise, but we could organise shared transport from Seville perhaps?
